We have been on many occasions and never had a bad meal. The landlord and his staff are all very friendly and helpful. The landlady /chef is also excelent company and hard working. All in all I would recommend the Anvil for any occasion. The menu is suitable for any taste with plenty to choose from. The sweets are to die for. Keep it up Karl & Kath.

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at The Anvil. We were treated to a beautiful three course meal which included the carvery for our small wedding party of 28. We had an evening buffet with plenty of food to go around our 80 evening guests together with a disco in the main bar. This pub is a lovely little gem hidden away in the back roads of Congham. We weren’t overcharged because we booked a ‘wedding’ which you will find with most venues you are. The service was second to none and Carl, Lewis and Kath and the team couldn’t have been more helpful. The food is 5 star, service is 5 star and the atmosphere was 5 star. Our wedding day was fantastic because of the service we received and we will now become regulars at The Anvil as it will hold a special place in our hearts going forward.

Whilst staying at a local Caravan site we decided to book this as a local source to eat out! What a wonderful surprise this turned out to be! Amazing staff, fantastic service, very attentive! Main and dessert were absolutely lovely, drinks very good and cold, needed in this hot weather! We can definitely recommend, we will also see you again in July. Kind regards Clayton and Clare ☺️

We visited on August Bank Holiday Sunday, we hadn't made a booking as it was a last minute plan and was struggling to get in anywhere, we were recommended to try the Anvil Inn by The Crown and despite the Anvil being really busy they managed to squeeze us in. The staff were all lovely and friendly and the carvery and desserts were delicious. Would definitely recommend visiting this pub if in the area.

Stayed with our mobile home overnight. A friendly welcome, and our evening meal was outstanding- the menu, the food and service was all of the same standard. Would definitely return.

Great food and very friendly staff. We hadn’t booked but they found us a really good table. Next time we’re in the area we’ll be back.

Nice pub with good range of reasonably priced food and a few nice ales. One thing that caught us out was that we had a nice meal and a drink early evening then went for a stroll intending to return. However when we arrived back just after 9pm it had closed!

With this Pub being literally in the middle nowhere in North Norfolk, I was surprised at how busy it was. I can only surmise that the popularity is due to the excellent food on offer. The portion size on both children and main menu is good and the quality of the food is excellent. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in the King's Lynn / Sandringham area, but you will need to book in advance.
