First time in the railway and was a nicely presented pub, staff are friendly. Lovely seating area outside for the hot day. Drinks were spot on.
However the food wasn't up to par. I had a Mixed grill, all the trimmings and a peppercorn sauce. Now the food was seasoned perfectly, but some of it was over cooked and the rest was mediocre. Steak was supposed to be medium rare instead was well done, chicken was dry, and the egg over cooked. Homemade chips were amazing. My partner enjoyed her food but said the coleslaw was just dry veg. Needed more mayonnaise.
We will be back as it wasn't terrible and is very well priced for the food you do get. Everywhere deserves a second chance.
Really tasty food and great portion sizes.
Staff were very helpful and friendly, quick service. Nice hot food in a comfy environment. What more can you ask for.
