This is not your average museum cafe. Amazing mains and freshly baked cakes on one of the best terraces in the Lakes, with a good selection of drinks too. Worth making the trip for lunch even if you aren't going to museum (although you should see that too!)

We were there on a very wet day which was a shame as the views were lovely. Limited menu with some interesting food which was very nice...well mine was (pheasant). Husband wasn't so sure about his chowder. We will go back hopefully on a nice day.

Beautiful views from the terrace (my pictures don’t do it justice) of Coniston Water. The staff were accommodating and the food was more than satisfying! Right next to Brantwood House as well as the gardens.

Nothing to complain about - 5 stars and more! Amazing view, amazing food (had toasties with the best hashbrown i had in my life!) and lovely coffee. Worth every penny spend there. Recommend for everyone, with doggies also.
