We came across this wonderful place today and stopped off for a spot of lunch - we were not disappointed!! This place is a hidden gem !! Loved the place , the food , the service and the gardens . We will certainly be back . First class
We went yesterday for breakfast and ended up spending hours here. Tea, toast and marmalade for me, and full brekkie, minus egg (we're vegan) for the man. He said, and a I quote.... "That was the the best breakfast I've ever eaten out!" This place is amazing... We'll be back
Delicious fresh food and gorgeous surroundings. This was probably my favourite lunch spot of all on my trip. The menu is very vegetable focussed with interesting and tasty combinations. Highly recommended! There was quite a long wait for food, and the gardens and greenhouses are really pretty so make sure you factor in a decent amount of time to visit. Loads of parking.
A wonderful place for rest and revitalisation. See the photos for a look at the grounds and an appreciation of what we enjoyed in the café. Most definitely the best poached eggs on toast we've ever had. Many more things we would have liked to try. In the grounds are lots of wonderful plants, vegetables growing and places to chill out. Staff here are both friendly and very chilled.
Beautiful on every level.
I have been to the potager quite a few times since my last review and I love how this place feels familiar and yet changing every time following the rhythm of seasons. My daughter loved the hammack! The cakes are wonderful and the flowers... A pleasure to explore.
One piece of advice. Take your time to be and to explore. This is not a place to rush things
Had a lunch here as a family, pleasing surroundings and gardens
Served interesting plates, good for vegetarians.
The staff are lovely.
Only complaint charged £3 for extra mushrooms with my poached eggs on toast, this amounted to 1 medium sized mushroom. Not pleased...
What an amazing find! The Potager Garden is not visible from the lane where you turn off into the car park. Walking up the path, through trees, and padt a fire pit with wooden bench seats and a willow woven pod, you get the feeling you might have come across something magical. We definitely felt this on reaching the beautifully kept garden, a fenced vegetable garden to one side, with veg and flowers sitting sharing the space, the latter attracting pollinators & keeping pests at bay. Under trees are tables for dining or sitting with a coffee & cake. We ate indoors - a cool, airy space with mismatched tables & chairs. Beyond, more greenhouses to wander round with a mix of unusual and very healthy looking plants. Outside, apart from the tables & chairs, there are hammocks strung between trees, deck chairs and a badminton net with all the equipment for a game. The food was perfect - we had brunch and were struck by the freshness & originality of the menu. The cakes too were delicious. I noticed that a variety of workshops are run there, a toddler group, volunteer gardeners help maintain the plants. We felt as if we had found a little hidden treasure, where we could relax and just enjoy the natural beauty around.
Great quirky location but very friendly and helpful staff. Only had coffee and cakes but would return. Beautiful gardens to wander around and loved the hammocks and chairs on the lawn. Amazing show if dahlias too
Our first visit to Potager Garden and won't be our last. We only had coffee which was excellent but the food coming from the kitchen looked delicious. The garden was delightful and well worth a visit. The lovely grey cat was very friendly too !
Outstanding, the best veggie restaurant I have ever been too. And the place and people are as lovely as the food. it was also very reasonable price wise. Well worth a visit.
One of the best restaurants in Cornwall and I can’t wait to come and try this Summers menu. Amazing!
I love this place... the food is amazing, staff so great and setting super relaxing and pretty.
