Definitely one of those hidden gems when it comes to food. Didn't know that it did food until I got invited by a friend. Sunday roast there is absolutely heaving so you know by that how good it is. Mixed grill is a banger and their pies are good too. Beers good. Generally just a really good pub to go too.

Great pub grub. Telephoned prior to arrival to be advised carvery was over as no meats left as they were so busy. My peppered pork was amazing, my friends beefburgers was ok but salty. Shame more of the meals didn't come with vegetables or that they wouldn't mix and match as cooked to order but I would definitely return

Excellent pub for all the family. I went with my wife and sister-in-law and we selected our food from the any 2 dishes for £10.95 menu and we were not disappointed. Two of us had the Cod & Chips, they were well cooked and arrrived within 25 minutes of ordering. A pet hate of mine is hot food served on cold plates, not the case here! The plates were to hot too touch so top marks there. The portions were a good size for the price and tasted very nice. I would have given 5 stars overall but we all felt the seating was uncomfortable after a while and it was more of a case of perching on the seats rather than sitting in a comfortable position. The staff were very good and a credit to the business, we are going again with our 10 year old granddaughter the next time we have her stay with us. Overall a good experience and if we manage to have any proper summer this year visitors can sit outside in the beer garden.

What a really nice classical pub. I went on a Monday, so it was quiet, but not empty. They just launched their new menu, which looks great. It has all your classic pub grub favourites plus a few specials. I tried the ultimate tikka fries (only to be ordered if hungry), absolutely a must try, it was delicious. Beer tasted great, although nor much to offer in real ale. Service was fast and friendly, made to feel welcome. Great value for money, can't wait to go again

I think it’s important to inform everybody that this establishment is one not to miss.I have eaten in restaurants/Pubs throughout England and Europe and I can honestly say that the menu here is perfected to a high standard. I believe the food quality and menu ideas make an excellent meal and the prices are just unbeatable when It Comes to talking about a menu with this much class. I just want to thank the chef for making sure everything is cooked fresh and great feasting.I do have a special mention for the waitress Sharon who made sure we were met properly at the door and made us feel at home,she described the menu items to us and helped us with recommendations and she sure wasn’t wrong. She couldn’t do enough for us and brought some banter and some chat along with the experience,In my opinion the level of service she gave us I’m surprised she isn’t a supervisor and I do hope she is valued by this establishment. Thank you again and I will be back in October!!!
