Nice, home cooked food and a bit of a different menu than your standard pub fayre. We were sat in the conservatory and it was a bit chilly so I had to keep my coat on! Would definitely return though.

Great gastrobpud feel to what seems to be a newly renovated pub/restaurant, with a nice rural feel to it. Food was lovely and a good selection of drinks at the bar. Will be revisiting soon! Only comment would be that we were sat in a large room with a vaulted ceiling with only a couple tables filled, whilst the rest of the cosier areas were full, so j have removed one star for the atmosphere where we were sat. Would be nice to have such a big room filled with people if possible. However, this didn't take away from the experience at a lovely pub.

The service was great and to be fair, so was the food 👍 my missus is a chef and it can be hard to find places that cook well with good ingredients. Our only critique would be we think there should be 2 chicken thighs on the Buttermilk Burger! It was tasty, and 1 whole breast would be enough, but for £17, I think it could stretch to 2 thighs! Quite the opposite of my massive fish 👌 In all though, we'll be back as it was lovely!

I have been twice now to the GE, and will definitely be going back! The food is amazing (one brekkie, and one dinner), and the management and staff can't do enough for their customers. Very dog friendly. The decor is lovely. I am taking my family back for Sunday lunch next - can't stop raving about the place!

Had a lovely get together with friends visiting from Canada. The food was good but a bit pricey. I had the gammon which was very tasty & sticky toffee pudding which was very moreish! We moved table when we finished eating as it was very noisy in the area we were sitting because of a table of 12. The staff were lovely & didn't mind us moving.

We had the full English and brioche brekkie from their brunch menu. We were with our kids and they do a fairly reasonable kids offering for breakfast / brunch. Brunch and coffee for 3 adults and 2 kids cost just under £60 so quite pricy but worth it for a treat every once in a while.

Beautiful old pub with lovely decor and beams. Staff really kind and cheerful, and the food was amazing! It's a little bit dearer than average but you can tell the quality of food is good. I got the chicken supreme, chestnut stuffing, dauphinoise potatoes, carrots and mushroom veloute, and my mum got the "chippy tea", it was delish 😋

This pub/restaurant has been recommended to me a few times, so we thought we'd try it today for the first time, for lunch. It's a really clean, warm place with a great ambience. There's a choice of bar food and a la carte. It's on the pricey side, but the food was very good and the service very friendly. Free and easy parking. I would recommend booking a table, as it can be busy, apparently. We've decided to go back there for dinner soon.
