I visited with my friends for a few drinks and chilled lunch. Having been here once before for drinks I knew I loved the setting. We tried the pub side first as there was plenty of seating plus we had the option to sit outside. However due to the small bar menu we opted to sit and order on the restaurant side.
We queued on the restaurant side and waited to be seated. The wait was very lengthy due to a large party in front of us. Sadly at no point did anyone ask us if we had been seen to, so the quality of service was lacking here. We did consider leaving after waiting 15 minutes but as it was hot out and we had good parking we stayed!
Once we were finally seated after about 20 minutes of waiting, we were quickly offered menus and our drink orders were taken. Our soft and alcoholic beverages arrived quickly along with an ice bucket for our wine.
We all opted for burgers with fries and had a sharer platter of potato dipper nachos. The food arrived in good time and all was hot and fresh. The potato dipper nacho platter was lovely, lots of jalapenos and a big bowl of cheese sauce, more than enough for all the potato dippers. The burgers were delicious and the fries crispy, the portions were big and we all struggled to finish due to the double patties! We couldn't even order dessert we were so full.
Service was friendly and efficient, apart from the initial wait. Would recommended and will be returning.
Visited this because it was near a Bed and Breakfast in South Croydon. Location is easily accessible by walking from the Tram station via a brisk walk. The food was a bit pricier than what I would expect, but it was a nice establishment and had plenty of variety. My wife and I each got the 2 course for £12 deal.
The portion-size was good and there were vegetarian options for my wife. Service was frequent despite the busy-ness and our seats being behind a pillar. The interior looks nicely furnished but doesn't demand a suit and tie.
A beautiful manor located in Coombe Lodge, with stunning interior and even more gorgeous gardens to venture out into. Coombe Lodge is a perfect location for any type of event, specifically weddings! With some real beauty and grandeur you can expect a marvellous day. There is a B&B located within this manor and this is a really tranquil place to stay!
Absolutely amazing food our waitress Nicola went above and beyond to make our meal amazing....and it always helps with a good playlist in a restaurant while eating I think and this playlist was bang bang so all and all we left happy..... good job beefeater!!!!!!!!
Had a very nice crunchy chicken burger, so decent food. Add in that the service was friendly, and that makes it good value.
Only popped in today for a light bite and a bevvy and service was second to none… quick and prompt and will a smile on the servers name think his name was Jordan. Will defo be back
Callam served us. Excellent, polite, friendly and got all of the order spot on. His recommendations were great. Food was good. Had a mixed grill and paetner had a chicken burger. Both cooked as we like them. Good pruce beers.
Food good value. Staff friendly and efficient. Just a pity the coffee was awful. Ordered a flat white which tasted like a poor Americano with warmed milk. Replaced without fuss but replacement onl a bit stronger. The staff said, "you know your coffee", which suggests they knew it wasn't a flat white.
Great food & friendly staff. Service was fast & the place is clean. Staff are very helpfull too. Great place to come for a big family meal. We came for Mother's Day & had a great time with a good selection of food & drinks. The table given to us was in a good area & the place is well lit up. Allround a good experience. Had another great dinner experience here today. The staff are always friendly & the food is delicious. 👍😁🍹💥
Celebrated a 92 birthday and it was good!
We were a party of over 30 and had our own room. The staff were well organised and Freya looked after us beautifully. Thanks also to her colleague who helped at times. The food and drinks were great and we enjoyed ourselves. A bonus about the location is that it was just next door to Coombe Gardens where we could take photos. Overall, a very good way to celebrate an event. Thanks and great job to the staff. We look forward to returning.
Always love to go here with family. Good atmosphere and ample parking.
The breakfast is amazing.
Only thing is the wait time for food is a little long on busy days.

We had a snack lunch whilst waiting for an appointment call.( 21st Aug 2023) This was in the garden entrance of the restaurant. I would like to compliment your trainee at Coombe Lodge . He had no name badge ...just trainee, but we asked for his name.... GEORGE..( please give him a name badge) He delivered our order in a cheerful & courteous manner. We jokingly commented that our table was spinning, with a faulty catch( for stowage we presumed). He promptly checked it out & spent 5 minutes examining the mechanism. He decided to remove it as it was not safe. We continued chatting, & were very impressed with his communication skills. My husband & I are ex BA cabin crew, & can easily spot fantastic customer service. George is a natural, & hope he is given the chance to do well at your Coombe Lodge branch.
George was warm & friendly, & happy to chat. It transpired that he knew the village we lived in, & it was a pleasure hearing his story. Please pass our comments on to George.
We also received excellent customer service from Sheila. I had informed her that we were waiting for our appointment call, stating that we would not need a full meal ,as we may have to quickly dash off. She assured me that ordering chips & a beverage was absolutely OK.She was also warm & friendly, & genuinely pleased to be of help. Please pass on our comments to Sheila aswell. Table of 7 booked for a Friday lunchtime. Have used this restaurant for years now but could do with updating. Staff were efficient and friendly good value set menu and a fantastically cooked burger.
