Nando's is one of my most favourite restaurants and I go to this specific store at least twice a month. This location is ideal due to the following reasons:
- Near the Arcade
- Vue cinemas nearby
- Lots of parking
- Established food court
As you enter the store you are greeted by a friendly staff who will sort out a table for you straight away. Once you know your table number, you can go ahead and order your meal at the counter. The atmosphere is lively with a gentle Portuguese music playing in the background.
I always go for the medium spiced half chicken along with peri peri chips and halloumi cheese. On my recent visit I decided to try out the boneless butterfly chicken and rice instead of the halloumi cheese. Although it's easier to eat a boneless chicken, I personally think that the chicken tastes much better when it comes with a bone. I must say that I have actually fallen in love with their rice. It can be a bit dry but the taste is completely unique and due to my new found love towards their rice, I will be getting 3 side dishes from now on.
Weekends are obviously extremely busy and due to the cinema nearby, Wednesday nights can also be quite busy. They have a good loyalty scheme where you are rewarded with a free whole chicken once you rack up a certain number of visits, this is a good incentive for you to return more often. I will definitely return here as this is the spot where me and my friends chill out and come to have a good meal when we are not feeling a clubbing session. .
Their Sunset burgers get 5 stars from me, quite tasty , juicy and chicken thighs have this amazing flavour! Their chicken liver is so delicious! Only in HOT sauce, last time I tried it in Lemon & Herb sauce - big no no! I have done the order online and I was their ontime to collect it however it wasn’t ready! This is the third time I waited 25mins, they are very busy in the evenings and this is why I prefer to order via Deliveroo. We have dined in too! Love the vibe, great decor, funky music and nice atmosphere! Parking is quite hassle free. I would have given them five star if it wasn’t for the delay in getting my order ready.

Staff was very dedicated to their work.
It was my daughter’s birthday and they even together sang happy birthday for her, as bringing the cake to the table.
I can only recall names of two of the staff members- Maya, Patricia, but everyone on shift were brilliant on 17th October, around 8pm at Colonnades, Croydon.
I don’t usually leave reviews but feel a duty to write one when I get exceptional service. This was the case when I visited Purley Nando’s with my wife for our one year anniversary.
The service we received from Bruno was absolutely exceptional. Bruno came to our table while we were eating, asked us how the food was and even though we said we were good he took initiative and let us know the food had been there for a while so he would warm it up.
I’ve been going to Nando’s ever since I can remember and I have NEVER had anyone even offer to warm up my food, I didn’t even know this was an option.
Bruno then continue to delight us in conversation, wished us a happy anniversary and kept engaging with us until we left the restaurant.
It was only right, I took the time to leave a review. I will always come to Nando’s Purley as I am a permanent lover of the exceptional, 5 star, business owner level of service I received from Bruno. Thank you Bruno, you are a star!
Afro- Portuguese food. You order through your phone and grab your own drinks and plates.
Went to purley nandos today. Was extremely happy with the staffs service and attitude. They made me and my family feel very comfortable and enjoyed our food as always!
The manager of the store aswell as the other staff looked after us very well and I was extremely happy with tonight dining.

Always enjoy our time at the Colonnades branch of Nandos. The staff are always friendly,the food is great and nothing is too much trouble. Especially want to mention Jesse W on the till, very friendly,chatty and helpful. Also Raheem very friendly and professional. Keep up the great work 😀
My wife, young son and I had a late dinner in the Nandos Colonnades this evening and were very impressed by the friendly staff and chef Bruno’s amazing chicken. We were the last to leave and Bruno was so amazing with our son, he can’t wait to go back already. Thanks for a great evening.
Honestly the best Nando's I've been to. John and the team were so nice and accomodating - no request was too much.The culture in this Nando's is everything you expect from hospitality but don't often get in even fancier places with high price tags. Would definitely recommend :)
Consistently great food accompanied with a great ambiance. Friendly and helpful servers. Short wait time for the food which was TOP TIER! I got the 4 thighs (Peri Flammer), with rice and coleslaw. And a side of peri chips as it was cheat day, shhhhh don’t tell my PT.
Today, I received exceptional service with great attention to detail. Thanks to Raheem and the team at Nandos Colonnades. Even the security was on point with great service. We had a large party of kids and adults and nothing was too difficult for Raheem, even the little touches we did not think of. A few more managers could learn from Raheem about how service is done.
