I popped in for a bite to eat with a friend after visiting the gym. Such a lovely place, warm atmosphere, lovely interior, amazing food and good music.
It’s my third time coming here. I always go for the Ayan Mediterranean breakfast.
It’s a fantastic portion for the price. Always fresh and filling. I love the sujuk and halloumi and the hummus is always great.
The fruit is such a wonderful addition. Comes w a dusting of icing sugar as well!
The mint tea is sooo good!!! Light, warm and sweet - a perfect accompaniment for breakfast. And it’s included in the breakfast price too!
The staff are attentive and kind. The music is also great!
It was a perfect pitstop for me and my friend. We didn’t feel rushed and really enjoyed the vibe of the place.!
All in all, a lovely brunch place. And we’ll be back for lunch next time!
I had the Big breakfast , it was delicious and very generously proportioned and included fruit and a hot drink! The staff couldn't do enough for us and the interior is lovely. Will definitely go again.
At the beginning of this year, I spotted some delectable breakfasts at AYAT but the serving hours were from 8am to 1pm which is impossible and at their loss.
Anyway, I happened to be around that area around 11am so I thought I'd pay them a visit but I wasn't sure to be happy or sad because they now serve breakfast until 4pm so we could have delayed our visit and went elsewhere to try something.
Similarly with the fish bar opposite, they've had change the menu to adapt which you could clearly see it coming.
As planned had the AYAT special breakfast which comes with foul mudamass, halloumi, eggs, baba ganoush, falafel, hummus, fruit, flatbread and olives.
For £9.99, it was really good for that Mediterranean style breakfast especially the foul mudamass which was a really tasty stew of fava beans with cumin, parsley and lemon!
We visited not long after opening for lunch. The staff member there was friendly and very very helpful. Our food was tasty but came out too cold with the starter, but when I told the server, he made sure our mains were nice and hot. My problem was this -- the restaurant didn't smell of food at all?! Like nothing was cooking. So it made me think my food was reheated in a microwave and not fresh.
As to the decor and cleanliness, shop floor was very nice, eye-catching decor and seemed freshly cleaned upstairs. I absolutely loved the music!
The toilets however were dirty. One of the toilets had no working light. Neither had toilet paper. The whole place needs a good clean and a lock of paint. Some attention also needed on the stairs as they were pretty dirty. Would consider adding hazard tape to the steps too as they are fairly steep and narrow. I could see someone easily tripping down.
Ordered a mix grill platter, it had a choice of rice or chips , we went for chips two people could eat comfortably. Liked the fact it had small pots of chilli, yogurt sauce and hummus as sides.

Went here with my nephew for dinner he had the seabass very nice. I had the lamb chops they were tender and succulent also the wings had a great taste definitely recommend.
Had a wonderful breakfast here!! Really enjoyed the food and the Moroccan tea was delicious! I would definitely visit again!
I came here yesterday evening with some mum friends it was my first time here I have to say the service was impeccable. Flawless and faultless.
The staff were always around catering for your every need and checking that everything was OK that we were happy they really made us feel at home actually particularly the manager who made a effort to check everything was OK also he was very reassuring and friendly.
As a Airline representative customer service is paramount and this Restaurant clearly share the same values the food was amazing I cant wait to attend again im already planning my second visit.

Food was awesome so flavourful, meat cooker to perfection very generous portion sizes and it was piping hot. The drinks we initially ordered were awesome fruity and just the right amount of alcohol the second round were awful, found out when we went to pay that the server had made the second drinks as the bartender had gone on break. Clean , great food, good service just don't order alcoholic drinks if the bartender os missing .
If you are looking for a quiet place for a lunch date this is the prefect place.
The food was nice, staff was polite. I found myself sitting there a while before anyone coming to be, despite be being not busy. Apart from that a nice place to go too.
