Dropped in for a spot of lunch ,the staff were faultless ,service faultless . Shown to a table ,menus offered ,drinks brought promptly and after a reasonable wait ,we were served well presented piping hot food . The food was cooked perfectly and for the price was good value ,I can recommend this location ,it had a great atmosphere and was full of people enjoying themselves .
Had a family meal tonight & we agreed it is the best meal we have had in Darlington. We all ordered different meals & every single one was perfect. The waiting staff were lovely, we couldn't fault anything and we are very particular! We'll definitely be back when we visit - do you fancy expanding in Scotland? �
Visited twice since the reopening. Great selection of beers,lagers.belly pork on black pudding mash wonderful stuff.sunday lunch today with mother very nice. choice of meats great loved it..well done all .. have booked again for next week..
3 of us ate here midweek.We had booked a table which was just as well as the pub was full.

Visited twice now since reopen. Menu now is so much better. Lots great choices and very reasonably priced. Vegetable Curry to die for. Fantastic friendly service. Looking forward to trying the Sunday Lunch next. And looking to book my retirement party there too
Popped in for a drink. First time in ages. Bar was busy but got served quickly and managed to get a table. Friendly service and great atmosphere.

Apologies for the late review.
We recently saw an advert for this place for New Years Eve, live band and buffet, and it looked interesting. So decided to go check it out and have a drink see if we liked it.
Within minutes of having a drink we had booked for new years eve, and already decided to come back for some food one day, as we saw the food coming out from the kitchen and it looked amazing.
Anyway on the 2nd visit we literally couldn't chose from the menu as everything sounded really nice, so we decided to get a load of starters and just experience what we could.
Wow, this place can cook food. The chef deserves a special mention here as evey single dish was cooked to perfection.
Ended up full to the rafters , so decided on the creme brulee and a couple of baileys hot chocolates to settle the stomachs 😂.
I cannot recommend this place enough, and we will be going back on our Fridays off for sure.

Lovely food and very clean. Definitely recommend.
Food was spot on and a good size portion i had the bao buns they were amazing and massive. Not to expensive and friendly staff. If you go for food they serve it at set time we went on a Friday afternoon and they started to serve food from 5pm but the pub its self is open all day. So i would ring before you go just to check.
Great service , delicious food ! The staff is so warm and nice. I highly recommend this cozy pub to anyone who likes good ambience, drinks and food ! You won’t be disappointed.
Excellent premises recently reopened under new management tastefully redecorated pleasant atmosphere. Good menu Good food drinks reasonably priced well worth a return visit 😀
