Sad to say of the 133 Wetherspoons visited it is the longest I’ve had to wait for my food after placing my order, 1/2 an hour for a salad 🤔
I asked the waitress if they were short staffed, no just busy, definitely missed the 6 minute target
Otherwise the chicken was nice
A very smart Wetherspoon's with a good choice of places to enjoy your drink or meal. I had a jacket potato with five bean chili extra root vegetables and side order of peas.
For drinks I enjoyed a Seashells and a Shipyard.
A little slow to begin with, but once backlog had been cleared, service improved.
Really busy sunny afternoon when we went there. Couldn't find a spare table outside as it is a popular pub, very few pubs in the town centre with an outside seating area in the sun. Pay on the app is the one we use most often, nice and easy.
Didn't eat this time, but we have before. You get what you pay for, food is cheap and quick to arrive, hit and miss with the flavour, depending on what you order.
Went went there for a nice day out. First of all, food and drink were served very quickly, and the food was great. Highly reccomend.
Staff always quick to respond to orders. Typical Spoons menu, good seating indoors less outside but okay.
It was a quiet Monday evening but there was still good banter from the locals .
I drink IPA & i have too admit my "Moose River " was A1 FANTASTIC!!
I'm a guy who is by admission "a little rough around the edges" i will put up with most things but i like a CLEAN LOO !! ...i could of eaten lunch in these loo's !! SPARKLING!! I hope " Mr Spoons" see's how good this place is !!!!
It’s a Weatherspoons, but it’s one of the best Weatherspoons I’ve been too. Beers are well kept and I would say some of the best in Daventry, food is cheap and cheerful (which is what I expect from a Spoons) and the staff are always decent and up for a laugh. Best of all though it’s awesome value for money!
Very busy. Ordered light fish and chips with mushy peas and 2 soft drinks. I had the chicken bits. The food was very nice and hot. Had no salt or mayo, so we went off hunting for it, would have been nice to have been told where it is.
Bar service excellent. Parked in Bowen square.
Marked service down as food wasn't available when we turned up for a works meet. They managed to sort whatever happened out though. Food was good and drinks were cheap.
Never visited Daventry before and satnav took me to a large free car park just minutes walk away from the Saracens Head. Loved the lay out of this place, it has differently sized rooms which create a nice atmosphere. There's also a room upstairs with a gallery overlooking the bar area.
Staff were all friendly and helpful. Unfortunately couldn't sample any ales as I was driving but noticed at least 3 real ales plus the usual Doombar and Abbot.
Stayed for lunch and overall had a most enjoyable visit.
