What a find this cafe was! We sat outside and really enjoyed the food. We were made to feel very welcome and the service was great.

We went later in the day (3pm) and they were able to easily accommodate our large party of 9 people. Service was great, everyone was friendly and we were made to feel welcome.
We mainly had cream teas and weren't disappointed. One of the reasons we chose Annie's was the variety advertised and between us we had each option. All scones were lovely, soft and airy. They option of both fruit and plain scones was great, but they also did cheese scones for the savory option. Something I've never seen before is the Honey bee option. this was serverd with plenty of runny honey, apricot jam and fresh cream. I wasn't sure whether there is a correct way to make this but found that drenching the scones with the honey first, followed by cream then jam, worked very well. I would go as far as to say that this was one of the best Cream Teas I've had, a sentiment echoed by my son who went for a delux mulkshake rather than a tea. Swapping tea for hot chocolate or a latte was not a problem. There is street parking just up from the place, and also on the opposite side of the river. If these are full there is also a small carpark at the very top opposite the road as you pull out. Dawlish itself is a great place to visit. Hope we get to come again this holiday and have another cream tea. maybe the savory this time.

Annie's is by far the best place in town to get a takeaway coffee! Not only do they fill the cup with liquid milk as opposed to a 60/40 split of milk and froth, but the coffee is actually HOT! I know, what an outrageous expectation I have of our coffee shops. It baffles me how so many other coffee shops can charge what they do and serve their coffees lukewarm, half an inch from the lip of the cup and consider its value for money, it is infuriating. But not Annie's! On top of the great coffee, you're greeted with a genuine smile, from genuine family people who love what they do. Get yourself to Annie's they'll take care of you!

Busy, and rightly so! Opted to sit outdoors to enjoy the hot weather & a sandwich, which came with lovely crisp salad, coleslaw & crisps. Took away a scone, jam & clotted cream, of course, and everything was delicious! Situated next to the Dawlish stream running through the middle of the town centre, Annie's is. Lovely spot to stop & watch the bird wildlife and trickling stream. Lovely waitresses, and overall, it made a great impression on me & was a highlight of the afternoon. Thank you everyone, the 5 stars are definitely well deserved!

Went to Annie’s tea room today with my friend and I had lunch. We were greeted with a smile by the owner She told us what options we had choices of There is a menu which was full of lovely meals, snacks. Food was presented beautifully. I also had a cup of tea which was served in a bone China teacup and saucer. Perfect. Will definitely be back and will recommend to my friends

Incredible and rare find!
This place is very unusual as it caters to everyone and very inclusive. If you have a group of people with different diets, it is a safe place to go to.
Gluten-free options free of cross- contamination for anyone with a sensitivity, allergy or celiac.
Vegan options that are hearty and not just a salad on offer ;) even cakes too!
For those that are able to eat everything, there is so much choice!
Everything is super tasty.
It is also child-friendly, the staff are brilliant with children, very loving.
Sadly, such brilliant attention to patrons and food quality is not often found. Annie's is the exception, no matter from which corner of the world you come from or whatever your dietary needs are, you will feel at home and welcomed by this family owned and run tea room.
There is a difference in being made to feel welcome and genuinely being appreciated. Annie's is a special place where you are valued.
Thank you for a brilliant meal, the chocolate cake was amazing! Looking forward to our next visit :)

Stopped off at this excellent café for lunch at the end of a cycle ride along the Exe estuary. Enjoyed an excellent ploughman's platter (from the specials menu) and a delicious piece of lemon cake. Food was very fresh and very tasty. Great service and very reasonable bill.

What an absolutely beautiful little Café!
Myself and my children visited on our holiday to Dawlish and received the warmest welcome, staff went above and beyond to ensure we were cared for.
If I am ever in the area again I will be sure to return to Annie’s Café.
