I would recommend The Dunkirk over any other pubs I have been in throughout Yorkshire. The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming to everyone, including children and animals. The food is amazing, your mouth bursts with all of the wonderful flavours the chef makes for you. First class pub and atmosphere, can’t wait to go here again.
My family had a lovely meal at the Dunkirk, beautiful surroundings, great staff and fabulous food! One of my sons never finishes a meal and he loved his sausage and mash, cleared the plate, all meals were spot on. We will definitely be returning.

A fantastic way to top off a weekend the day was a washout so it all hung on the Sunday lunch here! The mackerel pate was a really good starter. Then followed by a traditional beef dinner excellent.
We loved eating here. The leek and potato soup was amazing on a cold and rainy day. Plus, there were fuzzy friends there. Everyone was super kind and the food was excellent.

Fourteen members of my family went for Sunday Lunch to celebrate my 77th birthday. The arrangements could not be faulted, nor the attention to detail. The staff were absolutely superb, as was the food. All in all, the Dunkirk provided me with a day I shall not forget. Excellent!
Sunday lunch, I had Yorkshire pudding starter as I was having Salmon for main.
The Yorkshire pudding i am sorry to say was an over cooked shell !!!, but the pickled accompaniment was a first and
something I will try to replicate.
The salmon was very tasty.
Service was very good but topping it all was one young lady in question.
We booked to dine at 16.30 and whilst taking in the whole ambiance of the establishment my attention was drawn to this lady who was clearing and re setting the tables. Her professionalism and attention to detail was outstanding.
Absolutely divine! One of the easiest 5 stars I've ever given. We had a perfect and exceptional Sunday roast! If you haven't tried it yet you really need to do something about that at your earliest convenience. 11/10 would recommend
Excellent food - delicious dishes cooked beautifully both times we've been. Staff seemed lovely but - presumably because it's so popular - there was lots of waiting, even for one drink. Beautiful situation and lovely decor. Car park a short walk away.
Quality Sunday Lunch! Pork was just as I like with a fine crackling, roast beef I was told was as well done as requested when offered, veg all well cooked. Kids (4Y & 2Y) made to feel really welcome for lunchtime dining with a great selection of dishes. Drink selection good all round for lunchtime, with a couple of pints of hand pulled Guinness that went down well for my wife. Staff really nice and friendly, great to see weekend employees being professionals and on point. Will call again for sure when we’re in the area.
