Green Zatar

Just pure perfection. When you walk in, you’ll be amazed by the beautiful art on the walls and the grocery’s so evenly and perfectly placed. This impressed me from the get go. Then whenever I was sat by the very nice host who was also our waitress. It was such a pleasant greeting. Then we order the Zatar (DUH) and a chicken sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious and filled us since we weren’t too hungry. I got a Mediterranean Coffee which was so rich and bold and delicious, they gave me the cutest creamer. The owner also walked around and asked how everything tasted which is SOO considerate. Just had a blast. GO HERE! You won’t regret it!

Very sweet, homey mom and pop type place. My expectations were exceeded with the quality of the food. Will definitely be back. Presentation was ok, but then as soon as you tasted the food, it was like wow…this is so good. The vegetarian platter was excellent. They also make a great tzatziki sauce! A byob spot

The food is DELICIOUS. I had the chicken kebab and baklava. The restaurant is beautiful. My only complaint is it is so expensive for such small portions. The chicken kebab was $22 and was about one large chicken breast and a cup of rice. I expected more food for that! Still a great experience with excellent service.

FOOD: Highest quality food! The food is flavorful and authentic. LOCATION: The dining room and kitchen are immaculate. The gentle background music and atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant. The location is easy to reach, just off of University Drive across from Krogers. STAFF: The owners are the textbook example of hospitality. You will fall in love with them. Many people that frequent The Green Zatar find themselves befriending the owners and engaging in good conversation.

You wouldn't know it from the outside but this is a fantastic place. The baba ganoush was excellent and they didn't skimp on the bread. I ordered the gyro dinner which is just the gyro meat and veggies with rice (so order bread and salad if you're used to getting those things on a gyro plate). The are a bit pricy but the quality of the food is worth the price.
