This area is truly stunning!! The employees were extremely accommodating and recommended the most popular dishes and dishes with the proper size for our party. Every single item we ordered was exceptionally flavorful, and arrived fast and hot from the kitchen. I'm sure I'll return!!!

Never had tapas before so it was really nice to try all the different dishes and get a better understanding of the cuisine.
Heartily recommend (not cheap though, if you’re ordering multiple plates, be careful not to overspend, the set plates were good value however).

Went today for the first time, never knew this beautiful little restaurant was here. The food was delicious,the waiting staff were pleasant and attentive. A piece of Spain in Derby will definitely return.

Honestly, can't recommend Lorentes enough! The food has been incredible every time, service has always been friendly and fast. Depending on what time you go it can either be nice and quiet or have a buzzing atmosphere in the restaurant.
If you've got 4 people, try the tasting menu!

Lovely experience, came in for a friend's leaving do. Wonderful customer service from Dan, food check backs from the lovely lady working as well. Food was absolutely delicious and came out at a steady pace, definitely would visit again!

We had a lovely dinner here. Friendly staff, delicious food and reasonably priced. The only negative was portions were slightly smaller than usual. But we will definitely be coming back if we are in Derby again.

Absolutely brilliant authentic Spanish tapas at this intimate restaurant in the traditional heart of Derby. Loved every moment and made us yearn for more wonderful Spanish food experiences. Great wine, cheese and service too.

Enjoyed our tapas night earlier at Lorentes. Portions are generous so pick your favourite dishes and don’t over order. Had the half portion of jamon iberico (complimentary pieces of cheese) which were delicious. Jamon kind of melted your month. Chorizo in honey, potato bravas and padron peppers were decent. Not a massive fan of the croquetas as the fillings are too mushy for my person taste. Pork cheek was strongly recommended.
Service was good and attentive.

Me and my wife went there for the first time on Sunday and despite not having a booking, we were sited at the table at the back. We went for starters and mains which were delicious, so we will definitely return for more great food!

It was awesome. Nice and friendly staff, proper Spanish food, great beer and wine. There's just nothing I could be unhappy about. Will come back for sure.
Please remember to book a table before you come as they are quite small and run out of room quite quickly.

Every single time I've come to this restaurant the food has been exceptional with service that is second to none. A true gem in the jungle of closed units and failed business ventures of Derby.
Also for anyone that has struggled to book in the past, there is now a back room with even more seating ..so it should be all that easier!
