Attended here in Saturday night. I was surprised to only see another two tables in the restaurant. So it was a quite night for them. So the atmosphere in the restaurant was lacking a bit, but that maybe just be the summer break and people being away.
Although I would say the staff here were excellent and friendly. They met as as we came in and we had a drink at the bar first before we sat down. The bar maid was attentive and had a laugh with us which was nice. We sat down and ordered and when the food arrived I had a sirloin steak with a Diane sauce (£15) and it was amazing. I ha e included a picture below. The sause was just as I like it and the steak was ok too. I also had the chillie cheese garlic bread which was like a pizza an delicious but think it would serve two people if you wanted to share (£5).
Overall a great night with great food and service but a shame it was quite.
I would say that the menues looked a bit tatty and could do with being replaced or updated.
Also remember if you eat here and park in the hotel carpark it free but you have to register your car on the tablet at the entrance in the restaurant. So you don't have to pay or get a ticket.
Always great food and friendly service. I have been eating here for years and I've never been disappointed.
For, primarily Italian food with a massive menu choice with good presentation, good sized portions. Friendly service, reasonable prices and a pleasant atmosphere. We had to wait a while for our food but we were a large party. There is free parking in the hotel carpark attached if you check your car with them. Enjoyed our visit and will definitely go again.
I'd not been before and went as part of a 15 strong birthday group. Once seated it seemed to take a little longer than expected before they came back to take the order but at least it gave everyone time to decide. The food all arrived at the same time, was hot and very very tasty. The reason for the 4 stars, the longer than expected wait to order and no table orders for drinks. Apart from that Excellent.
Just had the best dinner here. we haven't been for a while and it was very quiet for a Friday night so I was worried it wouldn't be as nice. Though I needn't have worried, it was so good. I had mussels to start and beef Stroganoff for main and the husband had brusheta and chicken kebab. The food tasted fresh and the staff were friendly. We look forward to returning soon.
Love going here, staff great, always smiley and helpful, prices are very fair, discount evenings available, nice choice, lovely food (garlic bread my favorite, family all have their own favorites) nice selection of everything from pasta, pizza, steak...i just can't relate some of the negatives and make sense out of them unless they're just picky people with an aim and malicious (sorry, that's how I see it). Keep up the good work people, catering is not easy because you'll never please everyone, but in my opinion - you're doing great! Thanks and see you soon.
Had a wonderful evening in Antibo last night - our first visit to the restaurant and Derby. Lovely atmosphere, staff were really friendly and especially kind to my daughter! The food was authentic, freshly cooked Italian and was delicious. All the kitchen and chefs are part of the restaurant and clearly visible which is also very reassuring. Ordered a glass of house red which was super! Would definitely recommend and if we stay in Derby again it will be our first choice!
August 15th Lunch Time
I had lunch with 5 friends , from the moment we arrived till we left we received the most wonderful customer care,
We ate from the luch menu which was fantastic value and substantial in portion size, food arrived quickly and was of outstanding quality and lovely and hot !
We enjoyed starters and a main plus wine and drinks for 6 of us at under £80 so fantastic value for money
You really won't be disappointed I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food- Outstanding
Service -Outstanding
Value -Outstsnding
Great food and excellent value. Service great with very atentive but unobtrusive staff
Place is a bit dated but don't let that put you off. The Spaghetti Marinara had plenty of seafood unlike some of the chains that scatter a couple of prawns on top. It is a shame that the side veg is limited to mushrooms. Some green veg would be be nice.
