La Pizza

This is a place where pizza is fab-u-lous. I've been here twice and one of the times I shared a metre pizza and that was lovely and big. A special restaurant in Derby. The only restaurant in Derby which does metre pizzas. There is also quality and good timing because I didn't expect a metre pizza to do so good. The only problem was that the same night we were there was a hen party. And they were mad but everyone else was top notch. I think it was just bad luck for us. Not their fault so five stars!

I love it here. I have never eaten in the main restaurant; however, I have pizza from here as a take away often. The food is freshly prepared from dough made on site as well as fresh ingredients all prepared right there. Lovely staff who all speak Italian and give you the authentic welcoming and great attention to detail.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Nice atmosphere, fresh ingredients and hygienic kitchen area. Pizzas are made (rolled out and topped) to order and are of high quality. Even a few vegan options, though for those who follow the practise very strictly, the segregation may not quite be enough. Pretty decent pizza sizes and reasonable prices, too. Free parking directly outside, though it is down some steps and at an angle.

Before eating at La Pizza, pizza’s had always just been my go-to hangover cure..however, this place changes everything! It’s amazing what genuine Italian ingredients, a brick pizza oven that uses fire wood and what a brilliant Italian chef can do! They have a huge range of pizza’s from small ones for children to metre length ones to share (the half meter is only £18)!!, seriously this place stands out!! The dough is fresh and light so you feel full but not sick, plenty of toppings and the service is fast and friendly! Couldn’t recommend this place more! Close to the city centre, gluten-free and vegetarian options and the diversity in staff makes this my number 1 place to go for food!!
