Reviews Pizza Express

Pizza Express Devizes offers a good range of Italian cuisine and caters for every type of diet out there. I'll start the review talking about the Decor. Decor The interior design is quite akin to that of other Pizza Express restaurants, that's no bad thing as the establishment looks timely as well as contemporary. There's beautiful prints on the wall that lend them self to the ambiance and the lighting has been well a-pointed with downward facing spots on each table. The Restaurant is long and fairly narrow and there's plenty of seating throughout. However one thing that did semi spoil the experience and I know this is nitpicking, is the water jug that was brought to the table looked like it was encrusted with limescale in places. I am sure it was perfectly clean, but I expected better. The cutlery also had water marks in places, I realise this is not a 5 star establishment, but these are common things that I feel should be sorted. Service Service is both friendly and you never feel pressured into ordering. At the time my friend and I were only one of a few people in there, so the orders came out very prompt. I could not comment on busier periods. It's also worth noting that Pizza Express offers a lot of vouchers that can make your meals very good value. I redeemed a 2 for 1 on mains that significantly reduced the bill. Food Onto the most important aspect! I bought Dough Balls and a La Reine Pizza. These were at best adequate, The doughballs were fine, but I could not taste much garlic in the butter and I felt the pizza skimped on the olives, (please see image below). I was expecting more olives scattered over the pizza and as for the base! Well, it didn't have that crunch which I was expecting. I have had better pizzas from Pizza Express in the past and I shall chalk this down to bad luck. Overall I know I complained a bit about the food and certain aspects of the cleanliness of the establishment, but the value for money is excellent. For this reason I would certainly recommend Pizza Express to families on a budget. But DO look out for their deals! As without them there are better Italian restaurants around.

Friendly staff polite. Pizza was good but the Passion fruit and orange meringue pastry was really good 😁

They are about the friendliest and most helpful staff imaginable. The menu is extensive and always cooked superbly. Prices are reasonable for a higher end chain such as this. The choice of drinks are good too; I like a beer with my pizza and there's some excellent choices on the drinks menu. My son is lactose intolerant he's always able to enjoy a lacto -free pizza there. The atmosphere is relaxed and service prompt, even when they're particularly busy.

“Very nice restaurant with great ambience and super food” I have been here before and decided to go again given the fond memories of the last time. The restaurant is clean and well structured and you feel welcome the moment you get through the door. The staff are friendly and helpful and good is served quickly. The food can only be summed up in one word: excellent. It's fresh, tastes excellent and there is something for everyone. We shared the dough balls for starters which came with three dips and all three were great. The Romana pizza was delicious and the thin crust along with the toppings was amazing

Didn't seem very busy, but the staff still seemed to be run off their feet. Food was really quick, you could say express and using fresh ingredients. The fresh tomatoes and coriander was very nice. Some local parking being the venue, and you can gain access via the small patio (rear) entrance. In the summer I expect you could sit outside, but not today.

Nice food good service. Only comment was the plates were not hot. Important with thin crust pizza which cools quickly. A bit difficult to have a conversation due to ambient noise level. More soft furnishings would absorb noise.

There was a large party in on the evening we visited, so we were warned that pizzas might take a little while. We ordered drinks then food, with our starters and main meals arriving quicker than expected. Service was good, pizzas also good, but given their prices no more than I would have hoped for.

Good quality pizzas. Shame they don't sell calzones. Friendly, helpful waitress - she was great with my granddaughter who is 5 years old. The head waitress, who guides customers to their table, was less so, but we didn't gave anything to do with her once we were seated. She just seemed to lean against the counter of the area where the chefs worked, and chatted.

Five stars normally and would expect this from this chain of restaurants who generally deliver a good pizza in nice surroundings at a reasonable price. On this occasion our order was 'misplaced' and we waited for a long time for a pizza that takes about 3 mins to cook. They eventually came with a humbled apology and our bill was shredded. Thanks to the staff for everything and would definitely return. These mistakes happen. We're all human!

Nice big restaurant, good atmosphere. They now do vegan cheese which makes a huge difference to my dairy intolerant daughter. The service, whilst polite, could do with being a little quicker.

Went for a family meal here, we love pizza express. Devizes restaurant has a big carpark out the front, disabled spaces right in front of the doors in, another large pay & display round the back. Disabled loo inside on the same floor but other loos down stairs. it's quite a big place, with lots of tables. our food was delicious as usual, portions for puddings were slightly smaller than the other restaurants we've been to (not sure why?) But a lovely evening all round. Staff were very friendly & helpful. and we didn't book but still got a table.

Great food, the romana thin pizza is my favourite and love the idea of the smaller dessert served with coffe of your choice, a good alternative to a full size dessert if you don't need it. The building where the restaurant is is also beautiful and welcoming. We'll come back for sure!
