My fault for not booking (forgot it was a bank holiday) so it took a little while to get seated. Was told 50 minutes, but the wait was maybe 10.
I wouldn't recommend coming on a busy day, especially for individuals who are ND or find noise/business overwhelming. Can get very loud, especially with children. More details in the accessibility section.
A server never came round to our table after being told there would be one, but I don't mind because I've been before and, again, it was busy.
Tasty food as always and still not bad to say there was a little bit more of a raise in price with it being a bank holiday. Roughly £15 each (that's including one king-sized plate!)
Photo looks messy and doesn't do it justice, but the food here is gorgeous. I'd love to go back again soon
It's been a lifetime since I was at this Toby carvery.the food was good specially for a fussy eater like myself .the staff went out of their way to take care of a valuable customer.making sure he was looked after and his needs were taken care of.
Positive- Food excellent as always. Not been for a while and was pleased to see lamb as a meat too!
99p bowl of veg for toddlers is such good value for money.
Negatives- Draft lager not available.
Service from both the waitress and chef serving was absolutely brilliant - the chef was so good with our kids too!
Food was great. Would’ve like to have seen a bit more ‘green veg’ as an option but still good
Wonderful service. I don’t know the young lady’s name that served us but she was ever so helpful and catered for our every need. We had the Yorkshire pudding wraps which I can highly recommend a great budget option and you get loads, couldn’t finish the whole thing! Really lovely visit.
The service was efficient and professional. Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. Food was served promptly but was a little cold. We had the Yorkshire pudding wrap with roast potatoes and a drink which was plentiful and excellent value
Visited here a few months ago and left quite disappointed. The lager (Stella) was flat and the carvery really was quite poor. Decided to give it a second chance tonight , and quite pleased we did. Very friendly & pleasant staff from the off .( Thank you Luca, lovely lad)
The Stella was spot on tonight, and there has been a vast improvement of the carvery. Keep up the good work 👍
Lovely Carvery.. staff so polite food was really nice. Great family atmosphere. I had one issue with 1 customer sat behind burped so loud I just thought how disrespectful there were a lovely old couple sat across from us so nice.. So in general it was a nice afternoon nice food great staff. Thanks Toby Carvery we'll be seeing you again soon.
Lovely place to have a Sunday bite gets busy which puts pressure on the Friendly and welcoming staff.
Nice, clean, atmosphere buzzing, sometimes beef may seem dry that's coz, its under heat, but can be cooked with adding water when roasting and raised great though.
Plenty of veg offerings.
And drinks on offer
Great place.
We have attended toby carvery Dodworth Valley several times over the past 4 mth. This has been due to receiving a lovely welcome, polite staff and quick service. Even when running late for tables the staff have took every effort to ensure we have not been waiting too long beyond booking time. The food is just beautiful and always fresh. The only negative thing I can say is that on weekends the choice of vegetables are less than throughout the week days. This said we totally understand the demand a weekend brings for your chefs and catering assistants is far greater than during the week. We totally enjoy each visit and will continue to visit.
