What a fantastic local rustic pub, Stupendous food and very fast service. I have never tasted such devine home cooked food. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed!!
We had a meal there last year, and we're very impressed with the food and service.
We decided to book again to celebrate a birthday today, as we enjoyed our time there last year.
My father in law has high standards, and he couldn't fault the food, except to say that the portions could possibly be smaller, but he, and we, all really enjoyed our meal.
I am garlic intolerant, and the chef made up a fresh sauce to go with the stuffed chicken that I ordered, which was lovely, and I wasn't poorly after eating my meal, so all was good.

First time visiting and the food was cooked to perfection, I had Bacon Chop with Chips and salad and found it hard to finish so make sure to bring your appetite or a doggy bag lol. service was quick and staff friendly
First time here & wow was amazing. The garlic mushrooms were to die for & the beef Stroganoff was so tender it melted in your mouth & the sauce was amazing. The staff were very friendly & chatty. Was lovely & cosy atmosphere with an open fire. Will definately be back soon xx

Food and service here was very good. The menu had a good selection of classic dishes (Chicken Kiev, Lasagna, steak, chicken curry) plus a good selection of seafood dishes. All the food was cooked excellently, and portions were large. Puddings were also excellent.
Very rustic ambience. This seems like the place to be if you like seafood. As a vegetarian who doesn’t like mushrooms - and two out of three veggie options containing mushrooms - I wasn’t thrilled but the vegetarian curry was still very nice, and the portion was generous (and hence the price of over £14 justifiable). The staff were very friendly and helpful as well.
