A refreshingly artisan style café where you can relax with good food and excellent coffee, and avoid the boringly ubiquitous multinational coffee house chains... and I love the music played on good old fashioned vinyl too. Tasteful, friendly and highly recommended.
If you are desperate to find a spotless, friendly, beautifully decorated cafe, where scrumptious home-baked cakes, bagels, paninis, etc. are served, simply travel back in time at the "Back in time cafe". I went with my daughter and, while Edith Piaf was playing for us, we had paninis, cheesecake, apple strudel, frappes and home-made lemonade. We couldn't praise it enough! Give it a try, you will not regret it! �

Recommended by a friend at work who has always had a pleasant experience visiting so I took the opportunity to see for myself. This cafe is a real gem with lovely coffee and home made cakes, service was spot on and lovely atmosphere.
I will definitely be recommending this cafe to friends and relatives and look forward to returning again soon
Fast becoming a go to for a light lunch treat when out shopping. This is tucked away up the street so can be difficult to find unless you know where you are going.
Beautiful food and well presented from a small menu which is all cooked up from scratch. Tea comes with a biscuit which is lovely. I got a slice of homemade apple pie to take take out which was beautiful, will do again. The inside is quirky in design which I love and very cosy. The staff are great too, approachable and friendly.
Prices are really reasonable- not many places you can get this quality of lunch for approximately £7.
A hidden gem! Superb coffee, lovely choice of cakes and bites. Cosy atmosphere, very friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed my brief visit. Tables were being cleared and cleaned promptly.

A really nice little place, we had a milkshake which was gorgeous and a cake each equally delicious... a great selection that includes vegan friendly options. The cafe had a lovely chilled vibe and I didn't want to leave haha. Will definitely visit again, and I noticed they have painting events during the year too. I'd love to give this a try, what a great idea 💡👍
Lovely quiet place in town centre. Loved the whole vintage vibe it gives you. Foodwise, everything we tried was delicious and freshly baked. Absolutely tasty, we'll definitely visit again.
I had a half hour wait between trains so popped across to get a coffee. Wish I could have stayed as it's a beautiful cafe. They served my takeout coffee very promptly and it is delicious.

Was looking to spend a quiet morning with a good cup of latte, the cafe truly did not disappoint! The wonderful service, tasteful decor and background music made for a lovely vibe. The place is rather small so it is more suitable for individuals or groups of two. Wifi is available and the toilet was clean too. A lady customer played on the piano for a few minutes which was nice. Would definitely come again to try their homemade cakes.

The bagel with scrambled egg and smoked salmon is to die for. Philadelphia could be an option for it, but still 99%!!
The missus enjoyed the same but with 2 crumpets, loved it.
Coffee really nice, mocha really nice.
