Cafe Thorntons

Although a very busy Thorntons cafe the drinks were superb. Try to avoid busy periods as the cuecues are quite long and although theres plenty of seating it can be difficult to get a table. The shop sells its range of chocolates truffles and toffee, it also sells a limited amounted of icecream flavours. Helpful pleasant staff makes the experience more welcoming.

Lovely food and service is friendly, although can be very slow at busy times and you have to queue for quite some time. My only complaint is that they allow people to “reserve” tables by leaving one person sitting there whilst the other gets in the queue. Because I’m on my own I can’t do that, I’m not leaving my shopping unattended. I spend an anxious time in the queue watching people come in after me and get a table, whilst I’m wondering if there’s going to be anywhere left to sit when I’ve ordered my lunch. Not fair.

Great selection, extra discounts, popular cafe. Xmas shopping here is especially good - but there is always a full range of Thornton's products here, and multi-buy discounts. Cafe has nice coffee, lovely cakes, paninis, soup - always crowded though, unless weather is good enough to sit outside. Good sized accessible toilet.

This is a lovely cafe to eat me and my partner have been coming here a long time they have a good selection of toaties or a range of cold sandwiches and hot and cold drinks you get a free chocolate with every drink so that's even better. the cakes are delicious and all the cake is covered up which is good so the flies can't go on them high standards of hygiene . Staff are very friendly

Long established chocolate shop,selling very nice confectionery. Thornton's chocolates have place in most people's hearts,bring back fond memories. Other chocolate manufacturer have dropped standard over the years,reguarding taste and quality. Thornton's still make a nice product. I understand when they first set up they,employed a Swiss chocolotear. Great shop to buy chocolate from,and also a great place to get a coffee.
