Thorne Fish Bar

We visited on Easter Sunday, we were away from home for the weekend and this was a really welcome treat! Staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us to order in advance (we had a 30 minute journey as we were out camping). When we arrived food was ready to go and hot. The packing in boxes for each fish was a nice touch and each was sealed, with sealed hand wipe too. Great touch. Food was absolutely fantastic. Some of the best fish and chips we’ve had! Well worth the 30 minute drive! Thank you so much for the great service and food. If we’re ever in the area we’ll certainly be calling in again. Thanks

The best fish and chips ever! First visit and the place is so nice and clean, which is good start. The large haddock was cooked to order and the batter was incredible, so light, fluffy and crunchy and the fish was a good chunk too. I had a mixed (chicken and lamb shish kebab and again the meat was cooked to order, with a nice charged sear. Both meats were tender and tasty. Price was a little on the expensive side but the food justified the price paid. These guys know what they are doing and they clearly care very much about their products. Definitely going back again!
