One of the oldest coffee shops in the Isle of Man and one of the best. Wide range of homemade cakes.

We went to the cafe for a hot bowl of soup, ended up having coffee and some toast. :)
The place has a old and slow charm to it. Very welcoming staff and good selection of cakes and coffee!
Pro tip: go a little before 1 to enjoy the much talked about fresh soup!

Let’s get the most important out of the way. The coffee is excellent, and they have an assortment of homemade cakes and cookies. But what brings this coffee place to the very top is the exceptional friendliness of the staff there. It feels like a place locals hang out. It comes with my highest recommendations.

Great place for coffee, but even better got home made cakes and biscuits! The early bird however gets the best cakes, they are liable to sell out quickly. Lots of space downstairs, including a comfortable sofa if upstairs is busy.

Bought an Americano and two cookies (salted caramel and muesli incase you were wondering) to go. Spot on. Will definitely sit in when I have more time.

What makes this place special for me is the staff. They are always smiling and so pleasant..it makes it a place you want to come back to again and again.
Great coffee and lovely homemade cakes, quiches and soups. The atmosphere is always relaxed even when the ladies are mega busy.

The best coffee shop in the IoM. The staff are friendly & humourous, the coffee is spot on - including their filter coffee - and the whole place has an ambience that the chain coffee shops can not replicate (although I have nothing against them, at all). The sticky ginger cake is a highlight, but the selection of cake as a whole is extensive and waist widening. Highly recommended for skeeting out the window too, whilst you enjoy your coffee.

One of my favourite places to grab a coffee, they staff are really friendly and the size of the cakes/snacks is 4x Costa or Starbucks!
If you love a bit of cake give this place a try!

Lovely staff, great soup, delicious cakes and they allow dogs upstairs. Wish there were more places as friendly and as accommodating as Spill the Beans.

The best coffee and cake in Douglas, possibly the Isle of Man. Saturday for cheesecake is the highlight but their cake cabinet is worth a skeet any day.

Very good filter coffee - much more better quality than from any of the chains. The best selection of fresh homemade cakes on the Island and a very good service. There is a second sitting area downstairs.

Independent coffee shop in Douglas. Serving fantastic coffee and treats of all kinds. I've been coming here for years. It's a friendly place staff are lovely. Downstairs section sometimes has art or music on. Can't recommend it highly enough...if there were 6 stars they would get them all.
