Considering I've worked & lived in this pub and seen it at it's worsed.. Gill, Darren, Abbie, and the Roebuck team, have turned this place around.. It's exceptional! They're the perfect people for this place, with there own home brewed beer, There warm & welcoming atmosphere, there beautiful new renovations and especially there delicious food. Having had quiet a few meals here, even on a very busy night they still found us a table, and on telling us there will be a wait, they got there delecious food out as quick as they could. Most appreciated. We have 2 pubs in walking distance in our village and The Roebuck has always been our drinking hole or our one to go to.. but now it is our definite go to eat & drink. Thank you Team Roebuck for making this place worth visiting again �
We visited here for a meal in November and were taken by the attention of the staff , and the exceptional home cooked food . We noticed they were advertising Christmas and Boxing Day menus so decided to book for Boxing Day . The best thing we did ! The food was amazing , really hot ,and the mince pies were heavenly ! I was served so much turkey that I'd wrapped some to bring home for our dogs ,and the lovely lady out of the kitchen went and filled me a container up of both beef and turkey for them !! Fabulous service, fabulous staff ,and such reasonably priced food that we will definitely be booking again very soon xx
We had a booking of 20 people for a birthday celebration meal. We emailed the restaurant to make the booking enquiry and we're quickly emailed back to discuss further. The staff were very friendly and did everything possible to make it an enjoyable experience. We pre ordered the food ahead of time for ease on the day, the food came out swiftly once everyone had arrived. Every course was piping hot and all of the guests commented how generous the portions were. The quality of the food was outstanding, there wasn't a single complaint from a single one of our party. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a lovely meal at a reasonable price. Will definitely going back for future celebrations.
Our second visit for lunch, and certainly will not be the last. Food is excellent, well cooked and they offer a very good menu selection.
Ample onsite parking, with flat access to the building. Immaculate inside areas, warm and inviting atmosphere.
All the team members are friendly and welcoming.
Prices are very reasonable and therefore represent excellent value for money.
We highly recommend this bar/restaurant.
Had a wonderful afternoon at the Roebuck to celebrate a family birthday. We were a party of 17 & had pre-ordered. Everything was perfect, food was delicious & the service was excellent. The lady overseeing our table was extremely attentive & efficient. Great value for money & will definitely return again soon.
We had a really nice lunch here after wedding dress shopping. Such lovely friendly people. Great food, good value for money lunch menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back. Wish it was more local and then we'd be there every week.
My daughter and I had a wonderful Sunday lunch yesterday. It was packed and they managed to squeeze us in no problems. We had the Sunday lunch and a pudding. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff all smiled and a massive bug bear of mine is when you main course arrive and sources you ask for take 10 minutes. NOT HERE, they arrived in seconds. The pricing was spot on. You would pay twice this amount in some places and get rubbish service and half the portions. WE WILL BE BACK :)
We enjoyed a great meal at this lovely restaurant. The food and the service were absolutely brilliant.
We chose" The Roebuck" , as we were given a recommendation. There was a good selection of food available and more than adequate portions. The quality was great and excellent value. The service was top- notch. Loved the Pale ale , brewed on site. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great evening out. Certainly intend to return.
Didn't make a reservation as was Tuesday lunchtime but was seated promptly even though they were quite busy. Served promptly. Very reasonably priced for both food and drinks.
One of my favourite country pubs ever.. I would travel miles out of my way to go here in future.
Service was phenomenal, better than many top restaurants. I had the Shepherd's Pie and it was possibly the nicest I've ever had.
Cheesecake dessert very decent too, as was the coffee and the beer.
My son had a kids meal which was reasonably priced and from a decent sized menu.
Great ambience too, really nice crowd.
Brilliant, had a fab meal, 16 of us celebrating a 70th birthday. Pre ordered and everything was spot on. The staff couldn't have done enough for you. Top quality food with top friendly staff. Thank you Darren and team
