This was the first time,but definitely not the last time I will be in this incredibly dicevingly bigger than it looks on the outside place.I walked in to a very friendly and cheery barmaid,who instantly made me feel welcome.It has a good range on offer,nice comfy seats,although some upholstery is needed on some of the booths.It even had an upstairs.Great vibes,give it a visit

I loved this pub. It's small enough to be more personal however, it's big enough to accommodate plenty of ppl. We didn't sample the food although it looked delicious with decent sized portions. I also loved how there were poems written by William McGonagall on the walls. The one about the 'coo' on yonder Hill is absolute genius imo 😂 I'm going up there again at Xmas & I'm looking forward to calling in again. Very nice pub ✌🏼

I live locally and not been in for years
Very quirky pub with original features and has a unique round sitting area upstairs over the bar downstairs
Great choice of beers/wines/whiskies
We didn"t have food as the kitchen was closed and they have quiz nights on mondays

A quiet drink on a Sunday evening. Fantastic bar, full of character with brilliant staff. We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed vibe of this lovely venue. Don’t be shy, give it a try!!!

Great family lunch. Appreciate the option of smaller portions..Food was well presented and very tasty.. Although busy we were served quickly and our waitress was very helpful and efficient. Would definitely go back.

The food was lovely with very reasonable portion sizes. Large range of lagers, whiskeys and other spirits. The woman that served us outside was kind, patient and more than happy to help us.

A traditional boozer. Excellent service, 80' and relaxed atmosphere in the afternoon. Busier at nights and weekends, with a bit of a buzz. Circular bar downstairs with additional seating upstairs. Very welcoming and highly recommended.
