Wow! Chanced across Forgan's after doing some shopping with my Granny, we wanted somewhere to have a (very late) lunch. The entrance way immediately drew us in, and the choice of alcohol had us staying for a couple drinks. The food though, absolutely out of this world! The vegan shepherd's pie for my granny was such a large portion, and the ceasar salad with smoked salmon was absolutely amazing. If Forgan's wasn't so upmarket I would have been licking my plate 😁 We absolutely will be back, what an amazing place to have stumbled across

Lovely ambiance and friendly staff! Food was great other than one dish which the staff was happy taking feedback for. Cozy booths for a nice brunch with friends. With also much more seating inside. Ambiance 5/5, food 3.5/5, service 4/5

Went as a large party with children for family get together.. Meal was lukewarm,..Tasty enough but not as good as expected. Dessert was very tasty but not the most visually appealing. It's been a while since we've visited ( a couple of years) and I think the standards this time weren't as high although everyone still enjoyed it enough. I'd say quite expensive for what it is. All kids seemed to enjoy their mains and desserts however and colouring sheets were given which was a bonus. Staff were nice and attentive although even though the order was double checked, a couple of mistakes were still made ( nothing major or enough to complain about). Overall pleasant. Nice interior and atmosphere and I'd definitely still return.

I live in Canada and organized a celebration of life for our Mum with Forgan's Broughty Ferry. Everything was fantastic, right from the start. Prompt response to all my emails, and the all the staff were helpful and accommodating with our large group of 34. It was the perfect location for our gathering and made an emotional day very special. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed the Scottish dishes like the Ox Cheek Pie, Cullen Skink and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Most importantly, the staff on the day of our event were friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this restaurant for a large party or a small gathering. Thank you Forgan's!

My daughter and son-in-law Cat and Fraser Wilson had their wedding ceremony and reception in Forgans Broughty Ferry yesterday (22 July). From start to finish the day was perfect! Georgia and her team did a truly AMAZING job and were so polite, attentive, helpful and really went the extra mile to make the whole day a brilliant experience. I cannot rate all the staff highly enough- what a well trained team! The food was amazing and the service incredible. Thank you all (and I mean all- every member of staff we spoke to on the day did a fantastic job and were super polite) ❤️ I would have no hesitation in highly recommending this venue 😊

Everything about our visit to Forgan's was perfect. The restaurant was fully booked when I phoned. The lady on the phone offered me a different night, but when I explained that we were only in the area for one night she went out of her way to find us a table. The booking process was efficient and gave me confidence that they were taking track and trace responsibilities very seriously. On arriving we walked through the beautiful lane lined with gorgeous plants and trinkets and soft lighting. Inside the restaurant there is a variety of different dining rooms, booths, tables and seating areas. All parts of the restaurant are beautifully decorated. The menu has something for everyone. The goats cheese and beetroot tart is gorgeous. I tried vegan fish and chips - bizarre! But I was not disappointed. Meat eaters will love this place too. There looked to be some great meaty dishes on offer. To top it all off, the service was outstanding. Our waitress took lots of time to accommodate a guest's allergy and talked me through the vegetarian options. I didn't get her name, but she really is a star. Thank you all so much for a fantastic meal.

Lovely dinner with olives and haggis bonbons, tasty haggis neeps and tatties, salads and venison sausages. A bit disappointed in the crancahan semifreddo, bit lacking in taste and not much freddo.. service reasonable, had to look for the waitress a couple of times. Definitely be back.

Welcoming staff, clean restaurant, just waiting to try the food 😂🍲🍲🍴🍴.... So starter of tempura prawns and lentil haggis bonbons super tasty, batter on prawns and dips done well, prawns cooked just right, 5 stars for that, so good there isn't a pik, sadly let down a little by Main course, which was their veggy burger(sweet potato chilli and sweetcorn) and Southern spiced chicken burger (comes with corn on cob 1/4 and bbq and fries) with a side of onion rings and slaw. First off veggy pattie was really thick, like double thickness of usual I've had before and sadly not very flavoursome, bun was meant to be seeded brioche but was something denser don't know if it was a vegan version, fries good quality and the sweet chilli dip was nice. secondly chicken burger was sadly not spicy but a chargrilled beast that was cooked well and nice and juicy, bun and fries were tasty. (even though not spicy I cleared my plate so all good) Onion rings were super crisp and some of the best I have had if maybe a little salty but good with beer, possibly may be nicer if red onion instead of brown as a salt sweet combo but awesome either way, the slaw was tasty, maybe a little bit of a pickle kick to it, nice with the fries and burger. Don't really want to mark this place down the venue was nice, looks like it caters well to groups, staff helpful and held out table as we struggled getting parked, and they cater for dogs too, think you need to keep them outside or at the bar, (don't get that need for separation) they give them a bowl of water to 😉. Fast service, good wait between courses, ill let you make your own mind up, worth a shot maybe I got the marina on a bad day
