The Pantry & Kitchen At The Hideaway

Loved this place it’s such a shame it’s closed now. The fish and chips were great as were all the other meals I tried and the cheesecake was outstandingly good and delicious. Staff were so friendly and really made you feel at home. Best chips every too just like mum used to make at home. RIP the pantry and kitchen 🥲

We love this place. We always use this restaurant for family meals when there's special occasions. The food is fantastic and the owner is a true gent, Anyone in the area or reasonably close who fancies a fantastic home cooked meal with the best cheesecake for dessert then this is your place to be !! Hopefully be back soon Love it

Great restaurant, having done a lot of eating out in Fife, by far an away one of the best going. Steak pie main, the meat was tender and delicious, starters and desert were fantastic too. The highlight of the whole meal were the staff who made us feel welcome and extremely well looked after. Keep doing what your doing!

WE have just had a family meal for 12 in the hideaway and must write this review.The service was excellent and very friendly owners and staff who went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely evening.We waited no time at all for the starter meal and sweets to be served and we all were served with each dish at the same time and all our meals were piping hot and no matter who picked what the starters the main meals and the sweets were all beautifully presented and delicious and the portions were huge.We can recommend the hideaway to everyone who are looking for a lovely meal and nice friendly owners and staff. Well done the hideaway we will be back THANK YOU ALL.

Service is prompt and the young waiters are polite and attentive. Food is homely and very tasty. A very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Decor is dated but this adds to the charm of the place. There were a couple of tables with large family gatherings but no fuss or delay in service. I recommend the Hideaway.

This place is fantastic! We stopped here on our drive from Edinburgh to the Isle of Skye for a quick bite but ended up having starters, mains and desserts, the food just looked and tasted so good! The portions were very generous and the food was excellent quality. The staff were also so lovely! Stop here if you're in the area.
