We went in to get advice for my 15 year old daughter for skin care. Jackie on the Clarins counter was fantastic She gave us samples to try which led onto us buying the products for my daughter. Very knowledgeable of her products. Nothing too much trouble. Jackie was happy to spend the time with said daughter and we didn't feel rushed. Thank you Jackie you are a 5 star employee. You gained Debenhams the 5 star rating. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

On this occasion I was disappointed with my visit to Debenhams! I must point out that I only went in for a specific item and therefore will not be judging the whole shop! The area I visited was clean, tidy and well stocked. Unfortunately the item I wanted to purchase was an experience day! The product was available, but only valid until December 1st this year! This therefore meant that with only 2 weeks to use it and before Christmas, made the item inappropriate as I Christmas gift and sadly I had to leave empty handed. I did however queue up so I could purchase the item and the staff were friendly, but the service was very slow! I also did not notice the valid date on the product until I got to the checkout! Sadly this time I can not score higher than 3 stars!

Debenhams has always been a nice shop to visit and if not shopping you can just browse or have a cuppa. Some good sales before summer and winter too! Staff great! Always on the go and always friendly. Well done folks!

A variety of good quality stock at reasonable to good prices. All the goods are on a number of floors with lift, escalator and stair access to all. I am pleased to say that I found some helpful staff on the shop floors. A nice bite to eat in the cafe whilst sitting at a table which afforded a great view to Edinburgh Castle and the One O'Clock gun! Debenhams in Princess Street Edinburgh was one of three I visited during a recent return to the UK. I also went to Liverpool where staff were just not interested in me as a customer and Perth which looks very tired and jaded with staff who, again, do not seem interested. Edinburgh came out tops on this occasion and I will go back there again.

I Was in the store buying shoes. Janet served me and i have to say, her customer service skills were excellent. She was full of the cold but did a first class sales pitch on me. First person to ever get me to open up a stores card. Excellent service. Thanks 😍💗

A little overpriced. They'd probably sell more if they reduced their prices a little. Limited selection. 20 years ago, Debenhams was far better. Don't use the cafe at the Dunfermline store - cups and cutlery are not properly cleaned. I ordered a coffee the other day and it was obvious that it hadn't been washed thoroughly. I had to dig through the cutlery to find a knife and fork that didn't have dried food on them.

Although a smaller store than some others it has a good selection of quality brands. It also has a very good restaurant as well as a coffee shop. Staff are very helpful. Some areas can appear a bit difficult to navigate around in a wheelchair.

Spacious store , well laid out. Pleasant helpful staff. I read 16 stores are to close in Scotland. Really hope Dunfermline is not one of them! It would be a big lose, especially as it's the anchor store in the Kingsgate. At the moment it looks really lovely with all the Christmas displays. We have twice ordered currency from their Travel Money Bureau. The rates were the best we found, plus we got a £5 voucher money off when you spend £20.. It had to be used on the day but we easily spent that. Possibly the nicest store in Dunfermline.
