Cafe Masala

Was recommended by a local to try this place, and we were definitely not disappointed. First thing is that it was really busy, which is always a good sign - if the locals like this place they must be doing something right. The restaurant itself was nicely done up, and clean, although I felt it could do with just a tad more lighting inside. The menu was pretty extensive, and after a very short wait, we ordered a dhal, mixed tandoori grill, and a kebab afghani curry with naans and parathas. Suffice to say the meal was excellent, with just the right amount of spice, piping hot, and served without an inordinate amount of delay. The service was excellent, and I mean really excellent with the waiters always making sure we were OK, and even the owner popping over to say hello to some out of towners, and even giving us some guidance on the locality. Prices were reasonable, and plenty of off-road parking also available. All in all, highly recommended and would go again if in that neck of the woods.

A lovely ambience. In truth I do not like Indian food but my wife and our best friends love it so know good food when they get it. I did venture and have something which I believe was called a Chicken Bhuna and I did actually enjoy it. Very nice place well worth a visit if you like your Indian cuisine.

What a great experience last night, taking my America Fiancée and Father for their first UK Curry. The food and staff were fantastic, helping and guiding us with food selection and making sure we were happy and comfortable all the way through the expereince. Special thanks Tariq for dropping us back off at our accommodation, and leading his team to deliver an unforgettable evening.
