The service was excellent.
We went for Sunday lunch at 2.45pm and I think service finishes at 3pm on Sunday.
The staff were really friendly. Sunday lunch had a choice of beef, chicken, pork and roasted ham or you could have 3 meats for £15.95. Plus extra gravy is 50p per jug.
The lunch was lovely, hone cooked food. I had pork with a gorgeous and light crackling. Mashed potato, roast potato, roasted parsnip and a separate turin of carrots and savoy cabbage (make sure to carefully pick out the separate veg because the bowl was full of water).
The food was really tasty and the meals were served very quickly.
The heat in the main room was Insanely hot, which may be an issue for some people.
We would definitely recommend.

Absolutely amazing freshly home cooked food. We ordered off the 2 for £21 menu, and it was great value. It's definitely worth a look, but you need to book to get a table. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆

We were on holiday and spotted this pub thought it was going to be average but it was anything but. Great menu great food great price and great staff. Booked to go the following day for lunch 2 main courses for £21 again expected small portions but biggest yorkshire pudding 6 slices of beef lovely veg and thick tasty gravy partnel had the home made fish cakes they were perfect. Pity we our holiday ended .

Absolutely fantastic! the whole experience was wonderful, the staff were lovely and the service was top notch! The pub/restaurant is beautiful and homely.The portion sizes are immense! despite my greatest efforts I just couldn't finish the mixed grill, which was cooked beautifully,my partner had the southern fried chicken, sadly the coating was burnt on the outside, but redeemed itself because the chicken breast was lovely, definitely coming back to try more of the extensive menu selection very soon

Really enjoyed or trip to the blue house. Meals were very nice as was the service throughout our visit. We have been on numerous occasions and have always found the meals to be well worth travel and the money. The staff have also been attentive and welcoming ever time we have visited.
