The staff were exceptionally friendly. The food was good and nicely cooked. We were not aware that alcohol was not available but had coke instead. My only complaint was the price which was nothing like the prices shown in the menu. £4.50 just for the pickle tray and £9.00 for the two cokes seems a bit excessive.
Amin's Spice was recommended when we were staying at The Cottage, Hilltop Stables, and the meal we had delivered was delicious. Friendly and helpful service on the phone, easy payment by app/link, and it came hot and slightly earlier than expected. If we were closer, we'd definitely be ordering again!
This was amazing best night during our stay in durham. The food was so good I ate more than I had in weeks. My husband being vegan had vegetable masala and I had tikka chicken both had a nan, and a side dish. We wanted to go again. Only criticism I would give is the waiter was a little too chatty for my liking but he was charming and think this was part of his personality.
Curried are pretty nice, menu is good with plenty of different dishes. The korma was a bit weird. Only complaint is the price point - quite small portions for something so expensive. Takeaway for 2 people costs 50 quid, can eat out for that. Still one of my favourites in the area - I like their daal a lot. Naans could be much bigger, starters could be bigger also.
I had the lamb biryani which i asked if i could have it little spicy also opted for a tarka dall instead of traditional curry sauce which complimented it well. I was actually surprised as i havent had a decent one in a very long time, kudos to the chef.

Wednesday night, very accommodating. Unreal starters and popadoms with all the carry on, lime chilli was outstanding.
Bring your own alcohol wasn’t a problem. Brought our staff here.

Starters try the chef special mixed meat absolutely delicious.
Mains chicken korma and madrass with veg Pilau and keema nann, all on point. Company good atmosphere good. Decor lovely and chairs comfy enough. Quieter mon-wed and busy thurs-Sunday. Would def recommend and come back again with more staff.
We had a good range of food, two starters including the fish Macher Chatney.. Very nice! Mains were excellent and included a Mirchi which had a nice level of spice and won't blow your face off. All well cooked, lovely lamb and everything full of flavour. Would recommend to anybody.
Visited here for a take away for the first time yesterday evening as we were passing and will certainly be back. Customer service from entering was excellent, gentleman working on the bar spent the time to talk to both me and my daughter whilst we had a short wait for our order. The food was beautiful, We ordered a mixture of curries, naan breads, rice and onion bhajis and all enjoyed it, there was clear plates all around.
The staff are very friendly and always willing to help you decide on the best combinations of food.
If you want to try a very hot curry, then give the toofan a try. It is definitely one of the hottest I have tried.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant, never once had a bad meal in the many years I've been going.
