Fantastic high quality food from friendly staff. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. I particularly loved the piri piri sausage that I was able to buy so I could enjoy them again later this week.
Perfect if you are planning to go to the cinema after. I can't wait to go back and try out their beer selection.

Visited a couple of weeks ago. Good choice on the menu from classics to more modern twists, and a great range of drinks available. Friendly staff. Decor looks good, with plenty of seating. Enjoyed our food and competitively priced meals. Good location, as just before opening to main river walk area.

Great food , fabulous prices and top craft ale . I’m addicted three times a week , toad in hole to die for and the Sunday lunch between Yorkies a must . 5 stars not enough. Plus the team are brilliant. Durhams best kept secret . 🌭🍺. Cheers Tom .

Hidden gem. This place always seems quiet when I visit. I don't know why. Amazing sausages, especially the Victorian and the pork and leak. No gristle. Massive toad in the hole. Great beer on draught. Best of all you can take home some raw sausages or a few cans. Keep them for the weekend.

Visited today for lunch. The food was fresh and really tasty. Excellent value for money, we both ate and drank for under £20! I think the bar area looks nice too and will be a nice little venue to visit during the evening. Will definitely be visiting again.
