An oasis after completing the Cape Wrath Trail. Walking there from Sandwood Bay is a must, and the reward is a great cup of tea and huge portion of mac & cheese cooked over a peat fire!

Unbelievable to finish the Cape Wrath Trail through classic Scottish wilderness and high winds to find John and Angela’s cafe in the Lighthouse barracks. Had some much needed hot food before heading to Kearvaig Bothy to cap of an amazing walk. Thanks for the hospitality. Such an amazing place.

We took the ferry and mini bus trip to Cape Wrath as part of our NC500 adventure. The owners of the Ozone Cafe were very kind to my little boy who just wanted a jam sandwich which wasn’t on the menu. It’s a lovely place and definitely worth a visit and cup of tea.

Ozone Cafe@Cape Wrath. Cafe at the end of the universe where you can get food and a bed in the bunkhouse 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. This is an amazing cafe run by two extraordinary people John and his daughter Angie. I have walked the Cape Wrath trail and the Scottish National Trail and the most welcoming sight and thought was getting to the lighthouse and the Ozone Cafe. Try staying in the bunkhouse and watch the beacon of light from the lighthouse shine and illuminate the ink black sky. It’s a magical place with the full power of human kindness on full display from John and Angie. I had the good fortune to be caught by a NATO exercise and had a wonderful two days at the bunkhouse watching birds on the surrounding cliffs tilt and glide effortlessly. I would rather go to the lighthouse and the Ozone Cafe rather than Paris and New York

I've stayed overnight in the bunkhouse after the end of the cape wrath trail, the bunkhouse is small and pretty simple but felt so good after all the nights in bothies and tent. Angie and John are super nice and cooked us a nice meal and hearty breakfast. A great way to finish a 2 weeks walk. Thanks again!

We stayed overnight in the bunkhouse here to spend a bit more time with the amazing scenery on the Cape. John was a great host, giving us walking recommendations, cooking a hearty dinner and breakfast, and even stepping up to drive us back to the ferry 12 miles away when the minibus company made a mistake and couldn’t take us back from the lighthouse. Very welcoming and a great respite from the damp and wild outside here!

Beautiful place with kind, welcoming and lovely people. Good place for a warm cup of tea and homemade baked goods after a long walk or short visit. The father-daughter duo that runs this business are very welcoming and helpful. When I was passing through, they had a bunk room available-just a tidbit for those who would find it helpful (looking at you CWT and SNT walkers!). Thanks for your hospitality Angela and John!
