Costa Coffee

The refitted branch is much neater, cleaner and brighter. I've had one coffee in there. Best times to sit in there appear to be evenings. The review below was for the old look shop before their recent months refit. Now desperately needing a shop refit to new look it. It's now looking quite tatty inside in the fixtures and fittings. Lots of staff in training here now, with lots of the experienced regular staff having now moved on elsewhere. Sadly this meant I've experienced cold food where it should be hot. They've reached my three strikes and you're out here on cooked food. Let me down three times. So I feel why should I buy there anymore and likely get more cold food or stale bread on rolls. Used to be very good here, but now I'm tending to largely avoid. I'm sure once the staff are better trained it will be better. In the mean time don't really see why I as a customer should suffer in paying good money for poor service and quality of food. Like my hot food being left out by side of cooker to get cold. While they served other people. Not on. I now go to Starbucks for coffee proper. Update. Some improvements with staff now trained up months later on. I'm still seeing hit and miss with hot foods. I'm trusting them for bacon rolls again tentatively. They still couldn't give me a Latte proper, more white coffee than Latte. With lots of coffee grounds in the last mouthful. So have switched to tea if I do venture in there now. Still something they've used in their dishwasher as cleaning agent I'm allergic to also. So I use a paper cup and avoid cutlery. Or milk given to me in little crockery jugs also. I'm still going to Starbucks for properly made coffee.

Dear Viktor (Victor) I wanted to forward my thanks to you. Its clear that you are training quite a few new starters but you have been very welcoming and also calm given the support that you are given colleagues whilst also managing the queues (at times on your own in real terms) It was lovely to introduce this morning given new area Dear Costa operations team- please look after Viktor (Victor) he really is giving so much to this branch Best wishes Kevin (2 pots of tea 🍵, one cup 😁) I'll see you soon

I have visited this Costa on several occasions and usually have a good experience. At quiet times, the baristas are polite and get the drinks made quickly. At peak times it (understandably) takes longer to be served, but service is still at a good speed. The furniture seems a bit worn and sometimes sticky, but recently some of it has been replaced and cleaned up, so hopefully this is a good sign for things to come!
