Had brunch here and the breakfast was delicious! Would definitely recommend- yum!
Nice place. Coffee is really good and they have gluten free bread so I could actually have a sandwich! I really like the ethics behind what you do. Well done
A very nice place for breakfast. Had poached eggs on sourdough toast. Very friendly staff. This farm shop also sells fresh fruit, veg, jams, sauces and eggs.
Upon walking through the doors, you’re transported from central Eastbourne to a rural farm. Lovely decor and local produce available to buy.
Excellent food and service. Very accommodating and friendly staff who went the extra mile! We will be coming back
Great value cafe. We ordered a light lunch on a chill Sunday, and this cafe was exactly the kind of cafes we were looking for. Clean, chill and well lit. Food came quickly and was delicious. We had the quiche and we absolutely loved it. The coffee, while cheap, was quite nice too. Staff was also polite and friendly.
Great breakfast and great coffee. Lovely selection of cakes too.
Best breakfast in town! Honestly. Very good, quality sausages, well seasoned mushrooms and poached eggs are perfect! Due to unusual circumstances it's worth waiting to get a very good meal. And place has very nice, cozy French vibe.
Great cafe! Everything is home made, breakfast is delicious, the portion size is great and the prices are appropriate. They do vegan, vegetarian and normal breakfast, the coffee is delicious and similar taste to Costa and Starbucks. We had the vegetarian breakfast which come with eggs, avocado, grilled halloumi, a choice of sourdough/ Brown or white bread, beans, mushrooms and roasted tomatoes on the vine. All the products used in the cafe are locally sourced and the bread are freshly baked. I would definitely recommend visiting this lovely cafe.
I've just been here for the first time. Due to lock down restrictions, and professional difficulties, this was the first cooked breakfast I've had this year. Also, It was supposed to be my last meal with red meat. However, every single item was just sheer perfection, and I can't cut out red meat without another visit here for breakfast. I can honestly say, that I have never eaten a meal so delicately, and deliberately, allowing myself to savour each mouthful, and all of the flavour, and wonder, that came from the ingredients. Brought a tear to my eye.
This was my second visit. I like the fact that the tables aren't too close to one another especially as I have met friends here and you can chat without feeling everyone is listening. On my first visit I had the All day breakfast which was a generous size and included black pudding which I like and isn't often included elsewhere. This time I had Welsh rarebit which came with a small side of salad. This was equally delicious and we both cleared our plates. I would recommend Roots as somewhere for lunch whilst in Eastbourne.
Amazing food, definite compliments to the chef, excellent service from the staff, i will be back again very soon, keep up the standards and good work, much success to your business. Mike
Me and my partner regularly visit roots. It is the best, freshest tasting breakfast we've ever had.
We previously had some bad experiences with staff who didn't acknowledge us or seem enthusiastic. We wrote to let the manager know that the restaurant had this atmosphere to which he apologised and offered us a free meal.
We did not accept the lovely offer of a free meal but have since been back and were pleased to find that our feedback had been taken on board and the restaurant is a happy and cheerful place to eat!
Roots ticks all the boxes for us! A must try for Fry-up lovers!!
