Absolutely a great meal and atmosphere. With the festivals going on it was nothing less than busy. The customer service and food was nothing less than great. I wasn’t able to eat a bit of the starter as I forgot to take a pic. However wonderful food carbonara is creamy and tasteful. Everything was cooked to order and was warm. The outside seating was a great relaxing time during a meal.
Came here for dinner on a Thursday evening - it was slightly busy with some tables available for walk-in. The service is excellent and the staff made us feel welcome, checking on us throughout.
There was a wide selection available on the menu, with the dishes tasting great however on the slightly expensive side hence the 4/5 rating in terms of value for money.
Overall, enjoyed our visit!
Would recommend the Prawn Pistachio Pasta
Excellent food and service. We visited on a Thursday for a family lunch. It's 20% off Mon-Thu.
We ordered linguine pistachio e gamberi, linguine al profumo di mare and carbonara. The seafood was fresh, and the sauce was very tasty. The carbonara is authentic and delicious. For dessert we had tirumisu and affogato al caffe. The home made tirumisu was perfect, not too sweet. The vanilla ice cream in the affogato was smooth and light. Staff were very friendly. Highly recommend Piccolino Edinburgh. We will definitely be visiting again.
Really enjoyed this restaurant.
Basic menu, not too much to confuse you in choice.
Fabulous pasta dishes, I opted for the prawns with cherry tomato and pistachio. Delicious!
Service was really good... We were the only table outside, but the waitress was ever so genial and attentive, even though she was busy inside.
I would highly recommend this venue.
We ordered mini parmigiana, linguine al Profumo do mare and lasagna. The restaurant is lovely and all dishes are delicious.
We ate here twice during our stay in Edinburgh. Tasty italian food and very nice and friendly staff. Thay also have highchairs and children’s menu.
Very friendly service. Prices OK. Food good. Music was more foreground than background for my taste but I am sure this would be perfect for many. Toilet facilities very limited. On balance, though, I would eat there again and recommend it to others.
I have dined at Piccolino together with a sizeable group. We all ordered differently, and we all fell in love with our food! Seems like you can't get it wrong here - high quality specialties and authentic Italian flavours. I had the paccheri "with a twist": salmon and prawns instead of the usual venison (it was the special of the day). Absolutely gorgeous! The staff and atmosphere are also to be praised - will certainly head back here when in Edinburgh next time!
Very friendly staff! We came without a reservation and luckily they cleaned up a table within a few minutes. We didn‘t wait long for the food and everything tasted well and was fair priced. I can only recommend Piccolino!🇮🇹
Had a lovely dinner there with friends,. We just walked in off the street and fortunately they could take us. It was their last table. We were treated very well and the food was excellent.
