Great cafe with good food coffee and cheery staff. Hadn't been there since before the pandemic, and the food is just as good, with good sized portions. I would definitely recommend this cafe.

My friend took me along for lunch. We couldn't get a table straight away and were asked if we wanted to wait. Said yes and walked back to wait in the car. The girl came out about 3 mins later for us. We got a great seat at the window. Great views. We got the soup and sandwich combo. Service was quick. A lovely big bowl of homemade soup and sandwiches packed with chicken. It was delicious and the staff are all so friendly. A fantastic place. Can't wait to take my other friends. The staff there work very hard x

Great little cafe in the Scottish Borders. I have passed this place a couple of times, but this is the first time I've been in and was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff, and a good choice of food and drinks. Good relaxing atmosphere and some beautiful views from the widow seats. It's definitely worth a visit if you get the chance.

We stoped with our motorbike for a Mocha and some cakes. Great place. 14 years the owner is there. You need to stop, home made everything and delicious. Very warm and kind people. Highly recommend. We will come back for sure.

Soutra is a pleasant cafe located on the A68. A fairly wide range of savoury snacks and sweets/cakes is available along with teas, coffees and cold drinks.
Partial table service is offered in that you place your order at the counter and it is then brought to your table. Service is friendly. I was surprised when my local sausage in a roll came with 2 lorne sausages! A wee bit much for me 😀
The caramel shortcake (which I had on a previous visit) is scrumptious 😋
There are several tables outside for when the weather is fair.

Fantastic independent cafe in stunning surroundings. Very friendly team fast and effective service. Along with beautiful hot food and brilliant offering of cake and coffee... Best coffee I've had in a while would strongly recommend

Great stop off the A68 southbound (access is trickier northbound, I'm sure you'll be fine) into a large gravel car park. The wait to be seated on entry wasn't long at all, browse the menu at your table then order and pay at the counter-3 or 4 hanging around waiting for their take out. Plenty of polite staff with a tips jar at the till. Not a long wait for our bacon rolls on a Sunday afternoon, but there are notices on the table reminding you that others may be waiting for a seat. Windows overlooking the Forth etc. if you can get a good spot.

Been many years since we were here last - lovely friendly and helpful staff, good food, amazing cakes - was full so considering the rise in Covid perhaps some of the windows could have been slightly open to improve air flow.

Lovely friendly cafe on the A68 great menu, food was lovely and filling. There was a friendly atmosphere in the cafe, staff were welcoming and helpful. The toilet were clean and tidy, covid restrictions were in place for safety. Large free carpark, stunning views from the cafe with large floor to ceiling picture windows. A1
