It's been a year since we popped in for a very nice coffee & cake, when I mentioned this lovely restaurant may need a wee bit tlc. Not this visit. We popped in on spec for a very late lunch. It was quiet and whilst the decor looked the same the seating & the tables looked quite new. As I've said It's a lovely space & the food was very tasty. (Italian lessons are still being played in the toilets 😅.) "Noi raccomandiamo questo delizioso ristorante."

Gorgeous interiors and a great menu! Lucky to have Eric as my waiter for the. Great energy, very helpful with wine pairings and tastings, and made the entire night perfect.
Would most definitely recommend to all lovers quality of Italian food!

Beautiful restaurant with high rise ceilings. Food was great. The waiter was very friendly and knew the menu, she could recommend really good wine. Unfortunately the table seating is those UShaped seats, very inconvenient when you sitting in the middle. Everyone must stand when you need to use the toilets. And no place to hang out coats and bags. Other than that the place was good and great atmosphere. Also a bit pricy, but worth it

I need to say this restaurant is very beautiful and comfortable. We got the menu with two dishes and it's not really expensive.
The service was very nice and they attended to us very well and they were very kind to us.
The food it was very tasty and we enjoyed a lot.
We will repeat again in this restaurant.

Superb food, served in a magnificent setting by the most wonderful staff. Contini has been serving great Italian cuisine at this beautiful George Street location for nearly 20 years and their high standards continue to delight. This remains one of our favourite Edinburgh restaurants.
Note that a few of the restaurant seats are bench style, with no back rest, which is fine for many, but not everyone. The staff are only too happy to relocate you if required.

I came to Contini to celebrate mine and my flatmates graduation and the staff were fabulous! Rachel was our server and she was top notch! All the staff were so kind and friendly! The restaurant went above and beyond to make the day special for us. They gave us each a glass of prosecco on the house and brought out a plate with 'congratulations' written in chocolate. It was so thoughtful and on top of that the food was great. Would definitely recommend here for dinner or a celebration 🎉😊

I took my Mom here for her birthday dinner while visiting Edinburgh. great atmosphere, but we liked the food better at The Scottish Cafe & Restaurant at the Gardens Entrance of the Scottish National Gallery.
