This review is for the restaurant only. Absolutely amazing food! We all had the flat iron steak, it was very tasty and cooked perfectly, the best steak we've had for a long time. We chose to add some onion rings and seasonal veg and these were cooked to perfection too! Enjoyed it so much we are planning to come back again tonight. Staff very helpful and attentive. Would 100% recommend.

We popped in for a late dinner and was very pleasantly surprised - this is not your ordinary Scottish pub. Every meal is beautifully presented, the Venison was like a painting! And it tastes even better! Cooked and seasoned to perfection! Add to that a great atmosphere and supernice, welcoming and professional personnel. This is a must visit when close to Edinburgh! Do not miss!! Too bad we discovered it at the end of our Scotland visit or we would have come several times! All the best from the Swedish family.

Been a few times and the service is generally okay. Went for Sunday roast once and the service was really slow. From the food I have had: the beef burger is good, the pie was sort of bland and the roast is good with the exception of the roast potatoes which are terrible. They had definitely been sat around for a while just being kept warm.

Family dinner in restaurant, more like pub grub, okay but nothing special. Overpriced for what it is. The falafel burger was well fired and I wouldn't order this again. Helpful if staff know what's on the desert menu for dietary choices. Overall a warm environment and made the most of the experience.

Overall good experience. Rooms had great beds and bathrooms, but were a bit small, the windows didn't really seal against noise and there was a smell from the shower drain. Great service from staff but not necessarily following through on everything. Food was good and filling but didn't knock your socks off. But the scones DO knock your socks off! Get them for breakfast! Location was difficult to reach on public transportation but great to reach by car though.

Really excellent food! The mussels were delicious, large, and moist. They came with a light cream sauce which complemented them very well. The steak and the lamb were moist but a little chewy. Everytime we were served the sourdough/farmhouse bread it was pretty burnt on one side. Service was a little curt.

I visited here while working in the area, it was recommended by a few people. The food was lovely, I had the Lothian chicken (pictured) colleges all had large fish and chips which were Large. They were all stuffed afterward but I could have eaten more, although what I had was very nice and well presented, I did feel it was a little pricey. All the staff I encountered were nice and friendly, wanted to help where they could and really looked after the table. The restaurant is situated right on the river where you can enjoy beautiful views, there is also some seating outside for the warmer days. Plenty of free parking spaces right outside. If you're in the area and want something a little different, I'd recommend a visit.

The Bridge Inn is an amazing, special place. So quaint and quiet. Very relaxing. We stayed in Bryce room. Hoped to see Bryce himself,a murderer hung in Edinburgh. Small but very nice. Food at the restaurant was Fantastic. Worthy of the Michelin rating that it has received. Staff was extremely helpful and bent over backwards to help us. I loved the canal walk and little village. Y comparable!!

The staff here are brilliant from first making reservations and gathering info with Laura on to chatting with Manager Craig, his assistant Marc and others, who not only work here but embrace you as family. Thanks to each and every one of you, including Claire, Dana, Sarah (who kindly remembered to put more strong coffee pods in my room), Harry, Arturo and Gus. If you only come here for a meal--breakfast, lunch or dinner--you will not leave unsatsfied.
