Very nice neighborhood pub. Decent selection of beer & spirits. Didn't try the food so can't comment on that. Spent a time chatting to the manager who was really nice & accommodating. It'll be my first port of call if in the area again.

Came here on a fluke. Staff were lovely and knowledgeable. I had the smash burger which exceeded my expectations by a long shot. Great food, great environment, great staff, highly recommend

After walking 4 of Edinburgh's 7 hills, I needed a break and sustenance. The Hermitage Bar was in the right place at the right time and absolutely delivered. Great small plates selection and beers, including my new favourite Belgian beer Heverlee (works as a shandy!). We really enjoyed our dinner here. Friendly service, light and airy space and delicious food. The feathered beef tasted homemade and the fish and chips was crispy and tasty. Big selection of beers on tap and a full bar as well. Thanks for a great dinner!

AMAZING FOOD. Highly recommend their truffle and bacon burger and feathered beef. Their desserts are to die for, so delicious. The vibe in this pub is really welcoming, safe and relaxing. Not to mention their music playlist is on point. Definitely coming back

Loved the food as much as the people here. Everyone was warm and welcoming, made us feel really at home. The feathred beef was absolutely delicious and the cheesecake made me even happier! Overall, very authentic vibe, beautiful food, great vibes I definitely recommend this place!

This place has very friendly staff and they ask if you want to keep the tab open which is rare in Edinburgh. This is a good sign of trust towards their costumers. Traditional Scottish food is served here which is likely that you can find at Scottish bar and restaurant. Fair prices and portion. Their local gin cocktail is what cought my eye thought I didn't try it because I'm not a fan of gins. Overall had a chill time here after a short hike at blackford hill. Will come here again to try their food varieties and gin cocktails.

Beautiful pub like a french bistro, well decorated and spacey. We had a nice coffee and tea along with a very tasty pudding 😋 We came back for lunch which was also good quality food. Really kind service by Judith and Marnie
