🍲 "The Tollhouse, a Hidden Gem in Edinburgh!" 🏰 I had the pleasure of dining at The Tollhouse, and it was an exquisite experience from start to finish. 😊 🌿 After a refreshing stroll in the beautiful botanical garden, I decided to treat myself to a meal at this charming restaurant situated above the tranquil waters of Leith. 🍲 I started with a heavenly soup that I believe was a delightful blend of potato and mozzarella. 🧀 Each spoonful was a burst of flavor, setting the perfect tone for the rest of the meal. 👨‍🍳 The attentive waiter recommended his personal favorite, the Porchetta, and it was an absolute revelation! 😍 The succulent flavors of the dish paired beautifully with its crisp, crackling exterior. 🏞️ The ambiance at The Tollhouse is truly something to behold. With the Leith River gently flowing below and the warm, inviting interior, it's a place where you can truly unwind and savor the moment. 🌟 Overall, The Tollhouse exceeded my expectations in every way. From the delicious food to the friendly service and picturesque setting, it's a must-visit for anyone exploring Edinburgh. I left with a heart full of contentment and a craving to return. ❤️🍽️ #FoodieParadise #DeliciousDelights #HiddenGem

A great dining experience. All the dishes were good but the best of all ( I felt😉) was the pea soup. Every spoonful was a flavour explosion. I would have happily had soup all night. Service was impeccable.

Went for lunch a couple of days ago. Ordered from the A La Carte menu. Had Butternut Quash soup followed by Roast Hake. Finished with warm Banana Bread and ice cream. The food was amazing. The Roast Hake was so succulent. Great service. The restaurant was recommended to us and we will do the same. Looking forward to our next visit. Fantastic experience.

Fantastic food and service, smaller venue with a great outlook. Cocktails are creative and delicious. Staff friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.

Had a fabulous lunch here celebrating a family 90th Birthday! Couldn't fault a thing. The food was lovely, as were the staff. Parking is the only issue but, using a blue badge, we were able to park fairly near. We (8 of us) had a table on the ground floor that filled all the space available, making it feel we had the place to ourselves. We had a mix of things from both the Price Fixe and the Al a Carte menu's. Everything was very tasty. Cranachan being my favourite!

Absolutely DELICIOUS. The beetroot risotto is one of the best dishes I have ever had. Nothing but great food from this establishment.

10 of us dined here for a birthday. We had a lovely private area over looking the water. We ordered 3 courses which were all outstanding. Particularly the roast! And catered very well to my mum who has an allergy to gluten. We were extremely well looked after by our host and couldn’t recommend this place enough! Will defiantly be back!

The food is good! The service was a bit slow. There were 10 of us during lunch so that could be the reason why. A little up there but the ambiance was lovely.

Come here for a superb dining experience. The decor is lovely. The staff are welcoming and friendly and food was excellent. The mezze snacks should not be missed. And they included an amuse bouche. For snack, mains with fries, dessert, mocktail and coffee (flat whites are £3.15), the cost came in at a reasonable £40 which for this level of quality is great value. I was a bit meh on the mango cheesecake dessert presentatuon but it tasted good.
