We found this place 2 years ago on a visit to Edinburgh for the Six Nations Rugby (Scotland v Wales), and we were really pleased to see it is still going, and still good.It is slightly away from the busiest parts of Edinburgh, but it is well worth seeking it out. We were a party of 8 this time, seated & served fairly quickly, though we did end up as the last table in the restaurant! Food was excellent - we shared various items, including the Peking Duck, Spring Rolls, Crispy Beef and lots more. All of us, including vegetarians, really enjoyed ourselves.
Nice and cosy Chinese restaurant. The decor is real comfy and staff is very courteous. The soups were really tasty and the rice, the rest of the dishes too were really nice.
A fantastic Chinese Restaurant. Best in Town. I completely disagree with the first reviewer i think perhaps new years day was just a challenge!! The food and service is great here. It's my local place and I have eaten there many times. The food has always been great. Danny the manager / head waiter delivers great service too. I recommend this place highly.
As an express, business lunch it ticked all the boxes, very nicely. If you’re looking for something that will wow you, I’d advise an evening visit, when their more extensive menu swings in to action.
Super yummy!! I took my mother here last night for dinner, food was hot, fresh and delicious. We ordered the honey chilli chicken, vegetable chow mein and rice. Staff were attentive and not pushy. Definitely recommend.
First visit to this restaurant after a recommendation by friends
Arrived without a reservation and the staff couldn’t have been nicer, needed table back in 1hr 20mins and that was fine because service was super quick
Food was freshly cooked, hot and quite tasty although we weren’t overly impressed with the quality of the meat in the beef and black bean & the fillet steak Cantonese! Unfortunately I’ve had better many times so probably wouldn’t rush back.
Nice enough but I do think there are better Chinese restaurants
We tried this because its near where we stayed. The food overall were ok. The duck wrap is the highlight of the meal, as well as the roast pork , pork ribs and prawn toast. Lemon chicken was ok, the fish and soup were not so much taste.
Would come back for the duck though.

Nothing bad to say really. Very tasty. The place has a reputation of being a bit quirky but it seems to be only because of the name as the food, price and experience weren’t unusual at all. Just tasty Chinese food.
Definitely deserves 5*! One of the best Chinese meals that I have had in a long time.
Service was spot on. Food was delicious and perfectly presented. I've not tried other Chinese restaurants in Edinburgh but you definitely won't be disappointed if you choose this one.
I'm embarrassed and proud to say I have eaten here three times in the past 2 weeks. the 8 quid boxes are enough food for one. It's fresh, crispy and all the best things. 10/10 would recommend. Might end up there again next week
The food is always great as is the service. The atmosphere is slightly quirky but the rest more than makes up for it. One of our favourites
Excellent! This was the best meal we've had for a while. Nice small restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. Service and food were outstanding. Reasonable price for the quality.
We had Duck spring rolls and Char Sui Bao starters. The spring rolls were very good, but the bao really stole the show! Delicious!
Our mains were the Duck original and the Duck Plum with egg fried rice. All were cooked perfectly and were delicious. Portions were exactly the right size too - we finished just when we were full but not over-full.
We would recommend this place to anyone going to Edinburgh
This place is very busy, tables are not empty long. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was really nice, portion size is big, prawn crackers are refilled when empty.
I am Gluten intolerant and there was plenty for me to choose for starters and mains.
I will definitely be back.
Absolutely delicious. Is now up there as one of my favourite Cantonese/Chinese restaurants after the first visit. Food was fresh, you could tell by the quality of the meat. I loved that the crispy chicken was still crispy even in the sauce. Interior is beautiful and staff were lovely. It is popular though, when we arrived at opening we were lucky to get a seat as most tables were already reserved. Understood why, it definitely lives up to the rank of top rated restaurant. Left feeling full and satisfied, not bloated or queasy like some places can leave you feeling.
