Don't be fooled by the appearance of the venue, the food here is absolutely spot on! Me and my girlfriend we struggled a lot to find a place not pretentious which also serves some good honest food! We had an amazing dinner thanks to an Itison voucher, and we will surely come back for more. I know I sound like a broken record, but oh my God the food it's so good! It gives you that feeling you just made it back to your grandma for a meal! The dessert almost made me feel homesick, a lovely homemade cake!
Also La Bandera Dominicana was delicious! Highly suggested!!!
I have been to some spanish restaurants in Edinburgh, but this is the best. The quality of food and the rich flavours will satisfy your appetite. Staff is very friendly and if you are in good mood, there are free dancing courses at night. Alone or with company you will enjoy your stay at a fair price
Phenomenal little place in the heart of Edinburgh. Lovely staff that will always make you feel at home, whether you are joining them for food, drinks, or one of their fabulous dance classes (I highly recommend Laura's bachata class!). They also often have live music and regular dance parties. Oh, and the food is simply delicious. Definitely worth a try!
No words can describe how incredible this place is. Everything from the food, to the staff, to the drinks are absolutely fantastic. Such a great atmosphere! Best dancing I have seen in Edinburgh by far also! Only place in Edinburgh I know that dances bachata properly. Massive thumbs up from me.

Lovely food and very friendly staff.
As we arrived quite early, we were the only customers at the time around. The food selection is indeed authentic Latin and very obviously made fresh as much as possible. The staff is more than happy to explain the origins and particularities of each dish and will point out those that are favourites or specialities. Both the vegetarian as the meaty options were delicious and plentiful (The picture shows the Nachos-with-Cheese platter, advertised as starter but really a meal in itself...)
We make a point to visit them whenever we're in Edinburgh.
Legit Latin restaurant in the heart of Edinburgh. The food is really fresh and full of flavour, the margaritas are made from scratch, really you can’t go wrong with anything you order. We had some special dietary requests and the chef came to our table to offer options then specially made us the most incredible food.
We even came back a second night and were treated with a very kind and welcoming staff, the same as the first night. Again the chef came up and greeted us then made us a completely different yet equally amazing traditional meal.
Amazing food, dancing and chat. If you want real Latin food and atmosphere then I promise you this IS the place to be. I do not normally Review every place I go to because not every place stands out but I promise you OMG the food, the drinks selection and the service 😲🥰😍 Any time I am working nearby I come into to the restaurant or for a takeaway. My personal favourite is chicken quesadilla and Brugal with passion fruit juice.
I phoned up to ask about allergy options (no gluten, dairy, eggs and nuts) and was able to order Arroz Chaufa (chicken, shrimp and rice), and shredded beef with a side of guacamole. Good sized portions and a quick delivery. Friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend! Looking forward to eating from there again soon. Many thanks!

If you are looking for a Latin experience in Edimburgh El Paso Latino is the place to be. Laura will help you to have a good time and amazing food. And if you like to practice your spanish or learn how to dance salsa they have it too :)
Owner was so friendly and helpful, she gave us an amazing experience, letting us taste some tequila and mezcal. Food was outstanding. Will definitely be going again to take part in one of their dance lessons or Spanish classes.
