Stopped in for a quick bite and were pleasantly surprised! The fish and chips were delicious—crispy and perfectly cooked. I had a refreshing cider on tap while my partner enjoyed a cold beer. The service was quick and friendly, and the cozy ambiance made it an easy spot to relax. Highly recommend for a casual meal or a quick food fix.
Ryries Bar is split into a dining room at the top and a pub on the main floor. The sausage and mash was a solid 10/10 - super comforting and hearty for rainy days. The sticky toffee pudding was easily the best I’ve tried to far. Just an incredible food and atmosphere all around with friendly staff.
Great traditional Edinburgh pub. Good selection of beer and great decor; all wood panels and stained-glass. They also have live departures for Haymarket Station above the bar, so you can keep an eye on you train!
Made two of our evenings in Edinburgh memorable with great service and a friendly, helpful guidance about beer locality and flavor profiles. Food is not rated because we didn't order food outside of some fries, which were great. Will return as soon as we're back in Edinburgh.
