Totally in love with the place! There’s plenty of space inside and outside (in the garden area). My avocado toasts were delicious! You definitely need to cross it out your bucket list if you’re vegan and visiting Edinburgh!

Don't hesitate to come if you have doubts. To enter here you have a big parking space and the facade is a little bit hidden from the main Street but the reason of that is because this is one of those small paradises hidden at plain sight. It has a lovely big room with an open kitchen. All decorated in the most hippie and cozy way, after that it has a garden twice the size of the building where you can find tables and trees and plants and peace. The menu is completely vegan and very tasty. In the pictures you can see a brunch option of vegan haggins with Cesar salad and two vegan fried eggs on avocado and lime toast. Really delicious and not very pricey. The staff is lovely and the rest of the menu looks delicious. For what you can observe is always good to booked a table because they are pretty busy. But the garden looks to always have space(some small rooms of the garden have ceiling and very cozy looking sofas). I'm very pleased to discover this place and I will come back! Covid-19 notes: wear a mask around the restaurant and wash your hands on the door. No menus.

Lovely place with a relaxed vibe and a large outdoor space in the back. The staff are really friendly and the food is great. I'm obsessed with their vanilla chai and matcha lattes and the cakes are delicious. They also have a reusable cup deposit scheme which is a great alternative to disposable takeaway cups. I'd recommend booking at weekends which is easy to do on their website. The only con is that the double door entrance can be a bit difficult with a pram if you're on your own, but there's usually someone willing to help.

On the site of the sadly missed Earthy, creating a casually relaxed atmosphere with the friendly staff and the upstairs yoga studio. The surprisingly filling vegan Mac'n' Cheese, maybe not as 'cheesy' as I would have liked but great with extras like jalapenos and oven roasted tomatoes. The avocado with sourdough toast was tasty too. Outside seating allows you to stay distanced, but check for wet seats before you sit down! 😀

Honestly, don't let yourselves be fooled by the exterior appearance of this lovely vegan cafe and restaurant. Once you go in, you are in for a treat. Charming staff, amazing food and utterly delicious vegan cakes. Oh, and if you like cheese, order their vegan cheeseboard. You'll be surprised, promise.

Would go here every morning if my wallet could afford so. The menu is always changing, with new vegan food choices (their deserts are so flavorful), big wood picnic-style tables, and there is quite an expansive backyard garden with outdoor seating that you should be sure to check out. And some fresh flowers on the tables never hurt anybody! I had the “tuna” jackfruit avocado open sandwich and some sort of berry creme cake.

I'm so glad this place exists! All food is vegan and there are plenty of gluten free options. The desserts are also delicious! The staff is kind and friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. I also recommend having a seat outside in the beautiful garden when it's sunny.

Vegan cafe’/bakery with a good selection of salads, panini and brunch options. Amazing lattes, tried Pumpkin spice this time and an amazing matcha latte last time. Rather pricey, but good quality ingredients. Spacious, with parking space in front and gardens in the back. Recommend booking online during busiest times of the day. This is not a place for you if a little background noise of young children bothers you. Yoga studio upstairs.

Beautiful cafe with stripped back and minimilistic decor - very relaxing atmosphere and lovely staff. The cafe is surprisingly spacious with a rugged outdoor seating area. The food was also really good (although the blue-flower latte was a little two fragrant to finish) with a great selection of inventive dishes and at a pretty reasonable price. Highly recommend a trip of you're looking for somewhere to have some tasty vegan friendly food and decompress!

If you're a hungry vegan visiting Edinburgh, then you simply MUST head to Beetroot Sauvage and treat your taste buds to some of the mouth watering treats that are on offer. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busy main streets of Edinburgh, this hidden gem offers far more than just delicious food and drinks. This is a vegan cafe, wellness centre and home to Edinburgh community yoga. Set within a reclaimed industrial unit, some serious love and attention has taken place to turn this building into the warm, welcoming space that it has now become. Downstairs offers a spacious environment to enjoy a fantastic selection of home made snacks, meals, deserts and drinks. It was hard to choose from the tempting menu. In the end we opted for the vegan mac n cheese, a west African peanut stew, the delicious quiche of the day and despite these all being very filling, we somehow managed to squeeze in a couple of fantastic deserts.... but only just; It was a very difficult choice but the millionaire slice and the chocolate / coconut cake that tasted like a giant Bounty chocolate bar were the winners for us! For those who aren't all that hungry, there is an extensive range of teas, coffee's and other hot and cold delights. On warm day's you might want to venture out into the secret garden space behind the building. A lovely tranquil space that has been carefully transformed from it's previous industrial usage. We loved seeing how not only the building itself, but most of its furnishings and furniture have all been lovingly reclaimed and up-cycled. This space is simply oozing in character! Upstairs is a fantastic and very surprising open space used for yoga, workshops and other activities. The tall South facing windows mean that even on a rainy day (like it was when we went to visit), this room still feels so bright and fresh. A really fantastic area. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly, from the moment we walked in, right up until we left with big smiles on our faces. This should be right at the very top of anyones list of places to eat when visiting Edinburgh. Vegan or not, there is such a wide variety of different things to eat and drink so no matter what you're craving, there will always be something to satisfy it. We can't wait to go back next time we visit Edinburgh!
