What a gem! Also how lucky to have this great coffee available on the premises at The Principal in Edinburgh. Our first flat whites were perfect, aroma ditto & those liquorice overtones just wow. Second visit lavender latte with a double hit. Flavor slightly sweet another flavor buzz for the senses. Service impeccable
Would I like a coffee? I was desperate for a decent brew this morning and didn't hesitate on taking Jules up her offer. While my flat white was being prepared, I did my normal thing, out with the phone to take some snaps of the cakes. Oh my, they looked tempting. An empty slot between the lemon meringue tart and the mille feuille, made my heart patter! The label said passionfruit macarons. As you know, my dear readers, I'm a sucker for these beauties but am often left disappointed.
Decent coffee. A bit fancy for a long sit to work, though when I asked, they were ok with me staying with my laptop. Pain au chocolate was delicious.
Lovely place to sit and enjoy a barista made coffee. We enjoyed the window seat to watch the world go by.
Service was a little slow and the table could of benefited from a wide down.
This coffee shop is joined to the intercontinental hotel.
Bathroom facilities were excellent - exceptionally clean.
Always pay a visit here to this small but amazing wee cafe beside the Intercontinental Hotel.
Staff are super and the coffee / treats are always top quality.
Great spot for coffee lovers! The coffee is excellent, with a variety of options to choose from, and the baristas clearly know their craft. However, while the coffee is exceptional, the rest of the menu could use a bit of updating. The food options are somewhat old-fashioned and feel more like they belong in a traditional tea room than a modern coffee shop. One pro tip to keep in mind when visiting Burr & Co. is that you can order your coffee to be served in the hotel lobby, where there is usually plenty of seating available.
Fantastic coffee shop with a wonderful team that will always welcome you with a smile and some good conversation. Great coffee, lovely food and the best staff. Only criticism would be, please stop putting pickles in the salmon croissants/sandwiches. Because, why? Its just not good. Everything else, perfect. :)
Came in for lunch with my wife & two doggies. All were welcome and the staff were lovely. Has a nice chilled out vibe. Both of us enjoyed our freshly made sandwiches and the coffee & Edinburgh tea was also tasty. Worth a trip for a quick bite.
A lovely place food is great.... And not as expensive as you would think. I always seems to get a seat. The coffee is excellent I like it strong....
Gorgeous place with nice sandwiches and lovely coffee. The staff is also lovely and very friendly.
Highly recommend!
A wonderful discovery on a mid-week morning, this coffee shop oozes style offering fair-priced yet exceptional coffee in a serene and relaxed ambience.
Wonderfully creative pastries are on display.
The place felt ‘Edinburgh’ but had tones of those old cafes in the 20’s and 30’s. There is water available with slices of lemon, free WiFi from the neighbourhood hotel (that doesn’t require a password) Nd space between tables to make you feel you have probably but still be part of the wonderful murmur that cafes offer.
They care about the environment: buy a free everlasting coffee cup and get your first cup free and any others 10% off. I had a flat white for £2.70 to give you an idea.
It’s the kind of place you want to go back to on purpose rather than passing through.
Nice place, friendly team. The atmosphere is perfect for a coffee and working.
Really nice options for food.
