Marks And Spencer Cafe

I have used M&S for years usually for my weekly food shop. However, I have found that since the Covid-19 outbreak that prices have jumped considerably in M&S. A weekly shop for me usually cost around £80 and vouchers used to be given for £5 off if you spent more than £35 now it's changed to £5 off if you spend £50. Their Sparks card is of no value to me and instead of crummy offers for things I am not interested in I would rather have discounts taken from points accrued on the Sparks card to encourage Sparks to use the shop.

Since lockdown restrictions have been relaxed it doesn't feel as safe to shop here. The one way system is compromised. Previously you had a clear route to get to the food court in the basement but now you have to dodge clothing racks and shoppers looking and touching clothing. There also it's tight enough monitoring to stop customers going down the stairs to the food court which are supposed exit only Additionally the stock is reduced which is a shame

People have been very well behaved in M&S with social distancing, masks and generally being polite and helpful. One of the least stressful places to visit currently, imho. Cafe has screens between tables so masks can be removed and at the counters. Hand sanitizer is also available at store and cafe entry which is very helpful. Changing rooms are closed.
