Cozy pub serving well kept beers including guest ales at reasonable prices. Pipes are regularly cleaned, so beers are delicious. Bar staff were efficient, cheery and friendly.
I miss the old wood decor from years past and was a little surprised to find the bar on the opposite side from where I had remembered it but it's still a great spot for a great beer.

A traditional pub with friendly service and great beer. When I visited there was an entertaining band playing folk music. Highly recommended.

Staff was incredibly friendly and informational. They gave recommendations about the area and answered every questions we asked.
Missed the live music unfortunately but I've only heard great things about it! Other visitors were lively and friendly as well. Will definitely visit again when we return to Edinburgh!

It's still a classic old style pub. Service was friendly. Very nice loca IPA. Live music, too. Varied clientele as you would expect. All in all, good.

We had the most delicious beef bourguignon for lunch. It is a lovely, welcoming bar where the owner and staff make everyone welcome. It has a chilled atmosphere. We go most Sundays for the afternoon jazz session. You can really tell the owner enjoys hosting as it is evident in his friendliness whether it’s your first visit or a regular customer. Having recently moved back to the city we are so glad we get to call it our local.
