Great for a pizza. Stylish and relaxing. Great for a bunch of work mates as it seems to cater nicely for everyone., And the pizza's are brill.

An Outstanding Link in the Chain. There is only so much you can write about chain restaurants, you either rate Pizza Express pizzas or you don't.
Personally I don't think they are spectacular, but thoroughly decent. What makes this branch something a bit special are the staff & the setting.
The staff are friendly & helpful as you would hope for in a neck of the woods with so much competition. The setting, right on the Stockbridge itself & jutting out over the Water of Leith is spectacular. One table in particular is great, a little booth, surrounded by glass, looking right over the river, but most tables are near enough to windows to give you a great view.
Does what it says on the tin! Nice pizza's.
If the weather allows, sit outside on the terrace by the river, it's lovely
We stumbled upon this as we were walking along the Leith Water Walkaway. It smelled so good we walked inside to grab a bite. We had homemade lemonade which was really good and pizza nr 7 (with spicy salami). Service was fast. Our waiter was a nice man from Egypt who gave us a free sorbet when we guessed his age. Such a friendly man who made our visit enjoyable :) thanks!
Possibly one of the best pizza express building i have ever seen. It looks like a historic Building and possibly a listed one. I have not checked out the inside nor history as I am not a big pizza fan, but just loving the architecture.
Pretty interesting options for pizza, with good starters and desserts. Lots of seats on lower floor, and outdoor seating near the beautiful little river for warm days. Service was on par with rest of city, ie "OK but nowhere near good". Good for a casual bite & rest while exploring Edinburgh.
Consistently good food. Nice and relaxed on the terrace. Staff were very friendly.
1st time in Edinburgh and I just found the perfect pizza!!! They have a lovely staff that makes sure the customer is enjoying the time spend here.

They have really nice place next to the river with beautiful view. The pizza was yummy but they need to serve it hotter.
We arrived at a busy time on a Saturday evening. We had booked on the phone a few days previously. There was no sign of the booking on their system, but we were dealt with very pleasantly and shown to a table.
The food was excellent and the staff really friendly. Next time we'll come in warm weather, and eat outside overlooking the Water of Leith.
Absolutely love the pizza. Occasionally poor service. Still a favourite however often take time for simple things. Often bring the wrong drink or food. I ordered dough balls and they were cold by the time the lacking waitress brought them over. I would not recommend if your look for a quiet lunch as always filled with families with young children. But fun for families and particular settings.
Really friendly and attentive staff. Great for young kids, my son loves the menu and activity booklet.
The outdoor seating is the most amazing part of this place. If the weather is bad they also have a indoor table with glass walls around you with stunning views of the water of Leith. I highly recommend visiting this pizza express.
