We stumbled upon this as we were walking along the Leith Water Walkaway. It smelled so good we walked inside to grab a bite. We had homemade lemonade which was really good and pizza nr 7 (with spicy salami). Service was fast. Our waiter was a nice man from Egypt who gave us a free sorbet when we guessed his age. Such a friendly man who made our visit enjoyable :) thanks!

We arrived at a busy time on a Saturday evening. We had booked on the phone a few days previously. There was no sign of the booking on their system, but we were dealt with very pleasantly and shown to a table.
The food was excellent and the staff really friendly. Next time we'll come in warm weather, and eat outside overlooking the Water of Leith.

Possibly one of the best pizza express building i have ever seen. It looks like a historic Building and possibly a listed one. I have not checked out the inside nor history as I am not a big pizza fan, but just loving the architecture.

I'm from Rome, and to be honest their Roman style pizza (thin and crispy) is really great!
I'm very picky about pizzas, and I can tell that even though it is a franchise, the dough is properly done in terms of levitation.
Very light!
Maybe just the mozzarella could be "improvable", but it's still quite good (it's not a fake pizza cheese at all) .
I tried several other Roman style pizzas in Edinburgh but the one served at Pizza Express is by far the best.

They have really nice place next to the river with beautiful view. The pizza was yummy but they need to serve it hotter.

Absolutely love the pizza. Occasionally poor service. Still a favourite however often take time for simple things. Often bring the wrong drink or food. I ordered dough balls and they were cold by the time the lacking waitress brought them over. I would not recommend if your look for a quiet lunch as always filled with families with young children. But fun for families and particular settings.

1st time in Edinburgh and I just found the perfect pizza!!! They have a lovely staff that makes sure the customer is enjoying the time spend here.

Really friendly and attentive staff. Great for young kids, my son loves the menu and activity booklet.
The outdoor seating is the most amazing part of this place. If the weather is bad they also have a indoor table with glass walls around you with stunning views of the water of Leith. I highly recommend visiting this pizza express.
